What thread outcomes that never got posted are you curious about?

Which thread were you invested in where perhaps the OP stopped posting or the thread died and you never got to know the outcome?

For me there are two:

The one where the lady got her heart broken by a Jewish guy who just suddenly dumped her.

A more recent one where a girl was "exclusive" with guy she hadn't heard from in 3 weeks and she went out and bought him birthday presents anyway. He then posted pics on Instagram of his bday celebrations which she wasn't invited to. She messaged him and I would love to know if he replied and what happened.

You go....

OP posts:

I think 9f OpheliaRose often and really hope she is OK.

I don't think she was a troll - her pain was tangible.

PleaseGoDontGoAgain · 12/05/2022 21:53

The woman who was tricked into moving to NZ and had a horrendous time with alcohol inlaws and couldn't leave. She stopped posting. I worry about her. She was so incredibly down.

That’s who I think about too. Sounded dreadful.

One from years ago where a map and pair of knickers were found in the attic

CheshireCats · 12/05/2022 22:04

Awesmum's thread about her abusive ex and having to parent dd with him

PlantingTrees · 12/05/2022 22:04

Also the woman who wanted to leave her husband and bad lots of kids. She sounded so terrified. Lovemychildren

YetAnotherNam · 12/05/2022 22:04

@Snowpatrolling , I was about to post about that
One too.

I wonder what happened.

Shinyandnew1 · 12/05/2022 22:12

There was one a few years back-the user had a long username starting with M. She had moved to England and had a young baby with a H who she seemed to hate and spent hours researching how she legally force him to move out of their house and make him continue to pay the mortgage, bills and maintenance for her as she didn’t want to work and wasn’t entitled to benefits?

Tinkletwat · 12/05/2022 22:21

The one for me was about 3-4 years ago around December time.

A woman lived rurally, noticed a man watching her whilst she was out walking her dog then more weird things kept happening at home like creepy things being left in the garden. They then found out some local people wanted to but their house and it got super weird.

Think she pulled the thread but there was a quick update that I missed. Anyone else remember? Username may have included something 'fox'.

Coffeesnob11 · 12/05/2022 22:25

There was a lady escaping her husband from abroad and coming to the UK with hardly any money. I always wondered if it was real and if it was did she make it.

CrispSandwichesRule · 12/05/2022 22:29

Softzilla
The woman the other night who’s neighbour dropped off massage oil.
Every single woman who has run from an abusive partner. Each of them were so bloody brave.
The woman who’s ex refused to return their child after a visit and he won the initial court order. Gosh that one hurt my heart.

To name a few! 😬😳 x

CrispSandwichesRule · 12/05/2022 22:30

Oh and on a lighter note, the one about the work lunch debt. Where they all ordered sandwiches but somebody didn’t pay…??

FlamingoQueen · 12/05/2022 22:34

There was a lady in Australia whose son’s girlfriend had a real hold over him and it was terrifying. The girl had even said about ways to kill your mum and her parents seemed to think it was funny.
I think of this one often and hope the lady is ok.

SmiledWtherisingsun · 12/05/2022 22:40

All the baby name threads

The lady who was widowed with young children and then went on a date with a work colleague - married him and had another child - think she was called Somerville? Followed that story from the first date - sounded like a wonderful person a witty writer and I hope her life has abundant joy and comfort.

@Somerville was/is a lovely poster. I sometimes wonder if she posts here still, under another name.

the more recent one I want to know about is the stolen laptop and the OP’s suspicion that her NDN stole it, while supposedly coming in to keep an eye on the OP’s house while she was away.

I'm almost certain this turned out to be a troll?

I wonder if the first thread you're referring to was mine?

If so, I am currently 5-6 weeks away from giving birth to a baby boy, and I am so so excited to meet him.

So glad to read this. I remember your thread and wondered about how you were doing! Wishing you and your little boy all the very best!

ouch12345 · 12/05/2022 22:47

There was a thread recently where a woman had gone into her husbands office with her children and the woman had given her a strange look and I think maybe her husband never answered his desk phone when he was in work? I may well be getting two threads mixed up here but it seemed to disappear.

There was also a thread about a woman who's husband received a strange message in the post and people were speculating it had come from a mens mental health charity / stalker. The OP thought it was very strange.

My memory is shocking.

whynotwhatknot · 12/05/2022 22:48

The woman with the abusive husband nickname brian i think she got offered a job but declined it when the h found out=i was wiling her to leave him

Possibly one of the ones you mean was whereby their worked overlapped so the OP had reason to call her DH but he never answered although called back very swiftly?

Tinkletwat · 12/05/2022 22:50

@CTPT ah shame, find it crazy that people have the time and inclination to make these things up. Thanks for responding.

Enko · 12/05/2022 22:51

Years ago at Christmas time there was a lady in Canada who had recently emigrated who wanted to know how to tell her dd there would be no Christmas.

It ended up with them making a Christmas tree on paper on the wall and her landlord gave them a tiny lil one.
I've wondered at times how they are doing. If they have settled in Canada or come back to the UK. The thread was so heartwarming with how people helped to find free ways to make a good Christmas for them

The lady who got a new job away from her abusive husband and was terrified to tell hjm. I hope shes okay

That was so sad. She'd done several threads. I hope she managed to leave.

The one about the 16 year old boy and his controlling girlfriend. It ran for years and several threads. MNHQ closed it down. I often wonder what happened, it was heartbreaking to read the Mothers helplessness.

Yes this was mine too
Also th eone with the patio windows put into the grade 2 listed house next door , there was a shopkeeper over the road and a Spanish grandmother Grin
