I have just found out that the "sticky backed plastic" on Blue Peter was actually "sellotape" but they werent allowed to advertise it. How did I not know this?🤔

Except 11x9 = 99

12x9= 108, then 13x 9 = 117, 14 x9=126.... so it works for a bit longer after that

Ah. I think it was just the tables up to 10.

11x9 still works:

11x9 = 99
9+9 = 18
1+8 = 9

A stupid one - I always thought the word was chimley, found out recently it’s chimney (I’m 45!).

Also - if you go East for long enough, you end up going West, and via versa, same with North/South (think of a ball).

Love this thread! Perhaps some confusion about sticky back plastic and double sided sticky tape...Both were used extensively in BP meaning you could never actually make any of the stuff which made me sad.

That petrol pumps have a setting where you can tell it to give you a specific amount in £ or L and it will stop on that exact amount. No need for the £40.01, you can go bang on.

That bras have 3 sets of hooks to allow for stretch over time. So you should always buy one that fits on the loosest hook and once you have got to the tightest one you need a new bra. Why did I never know this!? 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

I have just learned from my 10 yr old daughter the the bigger emery board you get (not the small disposable ones) have layers that peel off to reveal a fresh emery board underneath. I can't believe I got to 42 without knowing this, especially as I worked out about a year ago lint rollers are the same. I always thought they were such a waste of money!!!
