I have just found out that the "sticky backed plastic" on Blue Peter was actually "sellotape" but they werent allowed to advertise it. How did I not know this?🤔

when I was younger and watching beetlejuice, before realising about filming parts and how films were made ect. That did play tricks on my mind.

realising that serial killers were real, watched the miniseries of killer net by Linda la plante, when around 12/13 then couple of years later realised they do exist.

realising that spys , doubles agents ect were real.

then realising on the star charts, just how vast the galaxies really are, and that earth is just a small dot in the vastness of space.

@AllThatFancyPaintsAsFair It is an American book, and I did not know it in my childhood, but my DS did have it, I must have bought it for him when I saw it in a bookshop (in the UK). I didn't know then about the supposed Mandela effect connection. (Mandela effect of course is a complete load of nonsense).

not sure around what age, probably began to realise that western films were not about how life was in the present-day far west of america.
after all, the reference is geographical, not a historical period, so i think that was a fair assumption.
maybe there was a year date mentioned in one of them that made me wonder.
mind you i am older than most of you on here and my cousin was astonished that i had not realised that the father brown series on tv was not meant to be in present day.
it never occurred to me. i just follow the story.

I too was horrified when it realised this! But some one then told me that apparently they have no central nervous system or brain as we know it so it’s kind of no worse than eating broccoli……….please, if I’m wrong about this, don’t correct me 😫
