Looking for other women for D&D

Hi I'm in the UK and looking to get into playing D&D with some other women. It's proven quite hard to find a women's group so I'm hoping to put together one of my own.

I've never played before so any levels of experience would be welcome. If you've done this before I'd definitely appreciate having someone around that knows the ropes!

Ideally I'd like to have a go as an adventurer but would happily have a shot at being DM if no one else fancies it.

I've put up an ad on a popular D&d forum and have 2 other players interested, but hoping to get a party of up to 6 players + DM if possible.

I was thinking we could meet for game nights either fortnightly or monthly depending on what works for everyone, probably in the evenings to accommodate those with children.

Oh I've only just spotted this thread but I'd be really interested! I've never played but I have a friend who does and always thought it sounded fun. I'm a wow player and also on a mn discord for another game. Would love to join the discord if there's room?

If anyone is already in the discord server but hasn't checked it in a while, I've posted a sign up sheet for some short one shot games I'll be running in the near future.

They should be playable in one - two game sessions. I'm planning on running one shots every now and then to try and get everyone a game while they are looking for a regular group.
