I’m always in the lookout for a really emotional song that gives you goosebumps. I currently like ’By your Side’ (Abbey Road Live Version) by Jonas Blue. What’s your favourite beautiful song?

Resurrecting this thread because I was about to start the same one.

Piano Man - Billy Joel. I can’t even type ‘but it’s sad and it’s sweet and I knew it complete, when I wore a younger man’s clothes’ without my whole body coming up in goosebumps. There, it’s happened again. Such a physical reaction. Incredible.

Lark Ascending. I always liked it but it played on the radio after DD died. I had the privilege of seeing it live a couple of weeks ago, and it moved me to tears. It was so nice to see the documentary about it on the BBC afterwards.

Grace by Kate Havnevik. I first heard it just after my nan died and i had such an extreme reaction to it. The music is just beautiful and soft, almost like I can imagine being in limbo. A suspended state , like an adult protected in a uterus. Perfectly summed up the pain that I felt and it was the only song I could bare to listen to for months. Everything else was just too much but this soothed my nerves and just felt like an extension of that mood when you have lost somebody that's so central to your life.

Northern Sky - Nick Drake
Shiver - Lucy Rose
Love is Stronger than Pride - Sade
