If Keir Starmer is Zipping as Janiie says... would that make Johnson Bungle?

Johnson is more of a character off of Button Moon. Wandering around muttering today themselves confidently whilst everyone else is watching in wondering what's happening?

Saucery · 09/05/2022 19:34

jgw1 · 09/05/2022 19:27

I was right, our dear friend here is Zippy.

I was merely fleshing out the character of Zippy, so familiar to those of us of a 70s vintage. I couldn’t possibly comment on any similarities to anyone here Grin

itsgettingweird · 09/05/2022 19:34

🤣🤣🤣🤣 relevant 🤣

itsgettingweird · 09/05/2022 19:29

Yes he's a bit of a goal post shifter it seems

Takes one to know one I guess 🤷‍♀️🤣

@itsgettingweird are you sure it hasn't gonebeyondweird now?

SueSaid · 09/05/2022 19:47

'Johnson is more of a character off of Button Moon'

Ohh Button Moon! another classic Grin

Now that is something we can agree on 🤣🤣🤣🤷‍♀️

I love that the episode is called "Gilbert's birthday" 😃

Was Gilbert ambushed by a cake and forced to eat it?

gonebeyondweird · 09/05/2022 20:03

😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇

itsgettingweird · 09/05/2022 20:07

Was Gilbert ambushed by a cake and forced to eat it?

Dunno - because I got his name wrong and it's Egbert 🤦‍♀️🤣🤣🤣

itsgettingweird · 09/05/2022 20:09

You really have to watch it.

It's literally like a re run of what the planning must have been like - it even mentions the use of a fridge Grin

Roussette · 09/05/2022 20:31

And for those saying that they ate the curry and drank then went home...

Wtf,are you lot at a party that I've missed. I have no idea of what you're on about.

I think a pp comparing Zippy to another poster is somewhat insulting to Zippy.

I wish to apologise to Zippy if my remarks caused them any distress.

L1ttledrummergirl · 09/05/2022 20:46

I thank you for showing some integrity and apologising jgw1.

We are at a works event.

Discussing very important matters.

Did you not get the email to come and join us to enjoy this nice weather - more importantly - have you brought cheese and wine?!

Notonthestairs · 09/05/2022 20:55

"In messages seen by the Guardian, at least two senior aides who were present at Durham Miners Hall sent queries about script edits and video editing between 10.30pm and 1am after the takeaway was ordered for the campaign team, which included Starmer, Rayner and the Labour MP Mary Foy."

From that Guardian article.

Luculentus · 09/05/2022 22:20

Fascinating that the Tories can't understand the concept of working late. But other worrying when they are the party in government.

Peregrina · 09/05/2022 22:36

Boris Johnson and chums don't even understand the concept of working, never mind working late!

L1ttledrummergirl · 09/05/2022 23:07

Drat, I forgot cheese and wine, I think that's the problem. No wine, no entry.

There has been plenty of whine. As long as you brought some whatabouts you should be ok though.

Peregrina · 09/05/2022 23:21

Didn't they just get the wrong food in? Wasn't it supposed to be M & S party food, not smelly curries?
I

Notonthestairs · 09/05/2022 23:36

Peston suggesting that Johnson needs the Partygate Police investigation to speed up, even if that means more fines. Once Police have finished the Grey report needs to come out pronto.

Because his theory is that if Starmer is cleared and then more fines/Grey report drops it will reflect badly.

So let's see if the Met get a wriggle on.

Nah... that was what was in the hot buffet dishes at this party at CCHQ in December 2020, much the same time as the 40 at the christmas party at No.10 that went on till 2am. Days between the two bashes during stricter lockdown.
