New employee is a fake, where to go from here?

It's a large organisation and I just had to send off her paperwork, passport, things like that

She was given the job after her second interview last week.

However, she has emailed me these documents (fine), and her birth certificate says born in September 2002?

That makes her 19?

This is a problem because, for example, her CV says she was an Executive Assistant to a Director in 2018? When she would've been in school?!

I've asked HR, who haven't replied properly, I've asked them to call. But someone replied to my email of concern with 'so you don't want this new me ever of staff? Why not?'

What can actually be done about this?

I haven't read the full thread but are you sure the birth certificate wasn't ISSUED in 2002? As in she lost it and requested another one.

Fyi you can legally work in some jobs from 14- market trading, babysitting etc.

lots of teenagers are also told to put work experience on their CV. Which is all very different to saying you are PA to the head!!! Still, thought I’d mention it

What if she's had a new identity, e.g. Witness protection ect, but forgot to match up the dates in her cv ?

think you are reaching a bit with that

Could you contact the school and ask when she started and left? It wouldn't be too hard to find out name of school if badges are on their school uniform.

Old thread. The candidate withdrew her application when they proved further.
