derxa your favourite man Ian Blackford is being interviewed on BBC News channel as I type Grin

Grin I'm watching. He's like the cat that got the cream

HarrietPierce · 06/05/2022 17:06

At least Blackford does his best to hold the lying charlatan to account.

jgw1 · 06/05/2022 17:06

derxa · 06/05/2022 16:58

That's what you want. Half of Scots on current polling want the Union to remain. Look at the nightmare of Brexit. Independence for Scotland would be x19 worse.

How much of that is influence by Boris' paymaster in Moscow?

derxa · 06/05/2022 17:12

jgw1 · 06/05/2022 16:57

But does Nicola Sturgeon know what a woman is?

She doesn't. She's obsessed by who's trans though. It was one of the major themes of her census though. People are refusing to fill it out. Can you imagine if you were 90 year old Effie coming across questions like that. She's also keen on asking Scottish pupils about anal sex.

Yes Grin

But but but... he echoes exactly what I think on partygate. It was the partying culture at the worst time of the pandemic. So for that, I totally agree with him.

Should be fairly straightforward then for Scottish Labour to continue their revival, particularly now you are committed to helping them @derxa

DuncinToffee · 06/05/2022 17:17

There's a huge difference in a year and the 17 parties happened prior to 'beergate'

Now don't be daft Roussette, it's all the same, they are all the same...

It is funny you should say that, I have often wondered whether Keir and Boris were twins.

Roussette · 06/05/2022 17:23

I shall keep banging the drum for the year's difference in partygate versus beergate whilst I have breath in my body, sorry derxa, just pulling your leg

'I don't have a vote in Scotland strangely enough. I'll have to change that. Anas Sarwar is more inspirational than Keir. He's done a good job

My 82 year old DF seems to have got over it. What with having a trans child and all.

DuncinToffee · 06/05/2022 17:25

From Prof Curtice - On the basis of the ten constituencies whose first preference votes have been declared we are now forecasting that Sinn Fein will emerge as the party with the highest vote in the new Northern Ireland Assembly.

Do you have to have a vote in Scotland to be able to support Scottish Labour campaigning against Boris and the SNPs plans to split the union?

I think it is more that they both went to posh public schools and have never really done a proper days work before entering politics.

Notonthestairs · 06/05/2022 17:30

I share your views and irritation Rousette There was a significant difference between the rules of May 2020 and 2021 - it's not even a subtle point** although a lot of Con supporters seem determined to miss it.

Still no reported result from my town. But I don't expect any change to the status quo (Lib Dem currently).

Notonthestairs · 06/05/2022 17:32

@jgw1 and the scattergun approach to procreation and parenting. The history of being sacked for lying. The similarities go on.

There is another significant difference. Keir was drinking beer from a bottle whereas Boris had wine from a glass. Anyone who drinks beer from a bottle is clearly not fit to be Prime Minister.

Also the reliance on funding from dubious Russians for interior decorating.

It does my 'ead in big time!

I don't have memory loss like some.... I remember how scary it all was back at the beginning of the partying by the tories. I couldn't sleep one night convinced covid would see me off! It sounds pathetic now, but one year and vaccines made all the difference. To me anyway.

Tory MPs will have an interesting weekend. I'm sure they'll decide to sit on their hands - more fool them.

I wrote to mine this morning asking why he had joined the PM in trying to mislead by saying that the birthday party was just a gathering of colleagues who were working together closely already. I wait with baited breathe for the reply.

Peregrina · 06/05/2022 18:10

I see that the Tories have lost Monmouthshire, so Wales is now a Tory free zone at that level.

I don't know about Town Councils etc.
