I've been around these parts for 12+ years now and that was my second deleted post, (the first was an uncensored rant at a hunt saboteur who thought the horses were fair game- I'll own that one and have no regrets).

I've also had much worse said to me, so I hope I worded my comment slightly better second time around.

I have close family members who have gone down the Trump is good, vaccines are bad, Boris Johnson and Co are amazing worm hole, having counter arguments ready for them in advance really helps.
I am fed up of the phrase "you don't have to believe me, check it out for yourself" though.
Some most of the sources are dodgy as hell full of half truths and innuendo.

I really hope that one day they regain their former selves and step back into the real world.

Anyways, hopefully my last comment is deemed OK, it is after all only my opinion and I am happy to have it changed with meaningful debate and engagement.

ClaudineClare · 01/05/2022 17:47

I think MNHQ is a bit iffy in its deleting decisions at times. A whole thread about Johnson and fines was pulled because of complaints about us being "unwelcoming"to a "new" poster. A thread or two later that poster was shown the door for being a previously banned poster (we all knew that was the case, that was why we were "unwelcoming").

ClaudineClare · 01/05/2022 17:51

I think a lot of people have lost the plot a bit during the past couple of years. I think I did myself on here at one point, mainly because of the flood of anti-vaxxxers and Great Reset-ers. I got a bit too over invested.

Blossomtoes · 01/05/2022 17:52

I started that thread. To be fair, the title was a bit provocative.

I can't remember the title!

Blossomtoes · 01/05/2022 18:03

It mentioned a squirrel free zone!

ClaudineClare · 01/05/2022 18:08

Oh yes! I forgot about the squirrels!

Some people would like you to think that...

We all know that's just a phase used to shut down debate nowadays.

It's quite sad really that if people disagree they are called woke, or called a snowflake or basically cancelled.

I'd have more faith in this government despite their obviously failings if they could at least talk their way out if a paper bag.

But they couldn't even find the exit if someone held their hand.

Fulmine · 01/05/2022 22:29

I got deleted for saying I didn't think a poster was as thick as one of her posts made her appear. Apparently I should have said she really was that thick.

Luculentus · 01/05/2022 22:35

“She is also concerned by the lack of contrition shown by those who have been found to have broken the rules.”

She (Sue Gray) can't be surprised about it, though. They are simply following the example of their leader, who has never been known to show genuine contrition no matter how disgraceful his conduct is.

Agree with this.

And it appears from things we've learnt from historical school reports and employment that it's something that's image in his personality. So it's not something - I believe - he's going to be able to change however much he thinks he can fake it until he makes it.

itsgettingweird · 02/05/2022 06:38

Innate

ancientgran · 02/05/2022 12:52

I don't know if I'm seeing things but re AR and the leg crossing, isn't there a great big table between them, you know when they are sitting opposite each other at PMQs. Would he be able to see her legs?

Roussette · 02/05/2022 13:36

I think she sits to the side of the table, I found a pic but it won't upload

DuncinToffee · 02/05/2022 14:55

It's a desperate smear campaign, just like the continuing articles about Keir's beer.

Menomadness · 02/05/2022 15:23

Nadine Dorries has been full on tweeting about AR &KS all weekend. She really should be brushing up on her own job!!
Also re AR did anybody see the dreadful Lance Foreman tweet?

I think I saw her sitting opposite him with the table in between, maybe that's when KS isn't there so she is directly opposite.

I have been in the chamber some years ago, I wish I'd known this was coming and I'd have sussed it out properly.

Roussette · 02/05/2022 15:31

Dorries is an embarrassment. She has tweeted a pic of Keir Starmer supposedly having a curry during lockdown.

The picture she has tweeted is from 2019 with Keir (with less gray in his hair) having a curry with Frank Dobson who died in 2019. This is the Minister for Culture and Media. You couldn't make it up.

Yet she's supposed to be cracking down on misinformation on Twitter? She's a fruit loop. And a hypocrite

Looking for photos but most are her standing up. This one looks like she is right behind the table. I can't upload the photo but here is a link. www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/angela-rayner-keir-starmer-night-26832818

Yes I saw that tweet, let's hope it turns out to be an expensive tweet.

Disgusting

Here is Angela Rayner's reply

Well well well…

The original source of the vile Sharon Stone smear?

7 January. 🧾

Before all the memes, before any podcast, and before Tory MPs’ dishonestly claimed conversations.

And where, might you ask, did it first appear?

The Daily Mail of course.

The one I saw but can't upload, she is to the right of the table and BJ can be shocked by her legs if he is stood up.

Here's the article which it is in.
No idea why it won't load as just a pic

Dorries actually replied quire swiftly to my most recent letter. It was also a bit better than the first one. Mainly because she doesn't write them. I may now write to her about despicable misogyny and the fact that she is stoking it.
