"
Members of the public rightly want to know why employees of Labour's press office lied about her presence at the event "

Angela Raynor had every right to be there. She's the Deputy leader for F--k's sake. You really are clutching at straws MapleMay11 ·

Am amazed the Met are considered the gold standard given the fact they were present in Downing Street when the 18(?) parties occurred, refused to investigate until the Sue Gray report was ready and then finally swung in to action by sending out questionnaires (!).
How very thorough.

Versus Durham police - force that previously failed to adequately investigate Dominic Cummings. Completely unacceptable.

I don't consider lies being told by any party acceptable.

Notonthestairs · 30/04/2022 09:51

Hhhmm so there is anger that when interviewed Labour didn't mention Angela Rayner - also anger that they weren't interviewed at all. Right you are.

HarrietPierce · 30/04/2022 09:51

Did you think she and Keir were having a quick bunk up on the sly MapleMay11?That kind of behaviour is more in Boris' domain.

Blossomtoes · 30/04/2022 09:54

Thanks @Notonthestairs. It certainly hasn’t been mentioned in any paper I read.

Anger, hardly. Disgust, definitely.

The thing with re-homing Big Dogs is, you never know what you're getting do you? Why so many previous owners returning him? A lovely bouncy Labrador may turn out to be semi-trained, chewing on the new sofas humping everything in sight and spreading disorder everywhere. Doing whatever he likes. But you've got him now. Can't send him back. But it's not your fault because look at that dog over there, and that other one. They're much worse than your Big Dog. Because he's the one you chose.

I'm assuming the Mail - I can't find any mention in The Times, my Dad is checking the Telegraph for me (he's as true blue as they come so he'll definitely spot it Grin)

HarrietPierce · 30/04/2022 09:59

The Tory supporting Mail is desperate for their gullible, hard of thinking readers to believe their lying shit.

MapleMay11 · 30/04/2022 09:59

I read about this in the Scottish press.

Blossomtoes · 30/04/2022 10:01

There’s nothing in the Telegraph. It must be the Mail - the paper my dad read, I used to make him laugh by handing it to him using tongs.

Notonthestairs · 30/04/2022 10:22

Well I've had a look at the Mail - Starmer was filmed laughing and holding a beer after 10pm. According to the Mail there is no feasible way he could be working after 10pm.

Which will be news to Johnson who apparently was conducting an interview after hours in his flat (kitchen?) to get away from the party downstairs and the one in his living room.

ClaudineClare · 30/04/2022 11:07

Can someone point me to the occasion where Rayner was asked whether she was at Durham and said "no". Also to where Starmer was asked whether Rayner was at Durham and said "no".

ClaudineClare · 30/04/2022 11:10

The Tories are shitting themselves about the local elections. Big Dog is doing Big Poos because he knows if the Tories get a pasting, he is out on his rancid arse.

This is why they are going on about Durham.

Of course it is. And how pathetic they are to think we can’t see through it.

Oh yes. And love your Big Poos if you get what I mean. 😂🤣

Whatever happens on 5th May, I imagine and hope that the floodgates will open and all the parties/cake offs/booze ridden karaoke sessions will come to light and this desperate attempt to smear KS who broke no rules given it was late 2021 will just look pathetic

It's getting worse, now Labour also held a quiz, on zoom...

Meanwhile Johnson didn't attend the ABBA party as he was interviewing Carrie's best friend for a job...

It's all in this thread

newnamethanks · 30/04/2022 11:53

Fingers crossed 🤞 Rousette. And Where's Mr Cummings when he's required? Saving it for a General Election maybe.

Blossomtoes · 30/04/2022 11:53

Because, even if the dates weren’t remotely the same - not even the same year - we all know how many people caught Covid from a Zoom quiz. They’re going to wear the bottom of the barrel out at this rate.

Roussette · 30/04/2022 11:57

Not in offices below his flat or adjacent to.
But in the next room where Abba was playing. Very sensible. Not.
And who he was interviewing was Carrie's bestie so the bloke concerned had obviously turned up for the party and BJ said let's have a chat about that job opportunity.

So he is attempting an ‘ambushed by porn’ line.

Online quiz and social happened the SAME MONTH Prince Philip died.

Online quiz and social happened the SAME MONTH Prince Philip died.

I should have been clearer, I meant the time of the Downing Street parties, not the funeral. Having said that, the restrictions changed twice that month between the funeral and the online quiz. Weren’t online events always legal anyway?
