When I read your thread title my first thought was Marmalade 😍

@HRTQueen we thought of pumpkin when we got Parsnip but we thought it would have to be a chubby cat...he did turn into a chubby cat and was very greedy!

We had two ginger brothers once - they were Ginger and Marmalade.

Mine is called Sampson after the cat in The Church Mice books - my childhood favourites

I love the name Parsnip 😊

Our ex neighbour had a big boned ginger boy. He would do his best to get in and run up to my cats food scoff what was ever in the bowl like he was starving

He approached people in the street pretending to be lost and hungry 😆

My DH had a cat growing up called Marmalade (female)

I've had 3 ginger male cats called Boots, Ginger and Tom.

My childhood female ginger cat was Muffin.
My sister's ginger kitten was Jaffa.
We also had ginger Hugo and Squeaker.

We have a ginger tabby who (as all cats do) has a million names, many of which bear no resemblance to his given name, but one of my children suggested at the weekend that we really should have called him Fishfinger because he is the exact colour of Birdseye fishfingers. Not sure what you would shorten that too, though...

Jock, like the ginger cat at Chartwell. There have been several iterations of Jock at Chartwell over the decades.

Mine was mostly called "that fucking trip hazard".

Ours was called Korma. Seemed to suit him.
