I make really great pizza! It's taken a while to perfect it and seeing the family tucking in is very satisfying!
We have pizza night once week and I love that it's something everyone enjoys and it is so cheap to make!
What do you make that you are proud of?

I make a banging cheesecake. And lemon drizzle cake. And scones.

My Nan taught me how to bake, she was a cook for a country house and I loved spending time with her in the kitchen. It makes me feel really happy to bake for my family.

StCharlotte · 18/04/2022 20:06

Banoffee pie. I get requests for it whenever people come to visit.

TheVolturi · 18/04/2022 20:07

Chicken curry, but sadly only with the help of Lloyd Grossman.

MarianosOnHisWay · 18/04/2022 20:08

Cheese sauce, for macaroni cheese or cauliflower cheese. I don’t have to measure anything.

SunnydaleHSAlumna · 18/04/2022 20:08

I recently finally cracked making rotis and was so proud of myself!

I want to conquer scones next, I’m a good baker generally but scones elude me!

Roast dinners

I’m good at cakes and biscuits which is always useful when you fancy something sweet(I can’t decorate them though!).
Also Yorkshire puddings, i always find it so satisfying seeing them rise and go huge in the oven.

BlancmanegeBunny · 18/04/2022 20:11

I love baking too!? My gran and mum were both great bakers, I can bake a great bara brith (Welsh tea loaf) lemon drizzle, Welsh cake's etc

Can I have your pizza recipe OP? I've tried and failed at homemade pizza quite a few times!

I make quite a nice risotto though

pumpkinpie01 · 18/04/2022 20:11

@StCharlotte omg my favourite ever pudding - especially a home made one ❤️

JayAlfredPrufrock · 18/04/2022 20:11

My scones are legendary.

My carrot cake is renowned.

But my potato salad is the think of which I am proudest.

Orangesox · 18/04/2022 20:12

Yorkshire puddings that are eyeballed, no measuring required, most cakes are just thrown in as are pretty much every meal that I make - very rare I use a recipe other than for some inspiration. Always get compliments on my cooking so must be good!

Cheesechips · 18/04/2022 20:13

Poached eggs! I completely destroy fried eggs but make a mean poached one!

LubaLuca · 18/04/2022 20:15

Cakes. I'm not very good at decorating them, but they are delicious.

Libertaire · 18/04/2022 20:15

Although I say so myself, my Venison Bourguignon is legendary among my friends & family. My onion gravy also gets good reviews.

On the other hand, I can’t make pastry to save my life. Hot hands, apparently. 🤷🏻‍♀️

KitKattaktik · 18/04/2022 20:15

My scones or lemon drizzle cake. I make great puff pastry too but when you can buy it for @80p in Lidl it's just not worth the arseache to make it.

Ifailed · 18/04/2022 20:16

Chips.

Spag bol. I actually get impatient to eat it when I'm cooking it because I know how amazing it will taste 😁

LaQuern · 18/04/2022 20:40

I make perfect poached eggs. I ate them every morning until I achieved perfection
