I’m relatively new to Mumsnet (18 months ish). After reading some absolute pearlers today re eating out and managing to make left over toddler meals last 2 days, I’m intrigued to know what are the stand out posts you remember.

Ive read classics but I’m after one liners that made you properly laugh.

Does anyone remember a really weird thread about someone on a bus, and she didn't want to move her pringles and rice, and something about an air seat?

@Wallawallakoala yes! That was the bus woman with the "fly space" on the bus and a man had asked her to move her bag and she'd shouted at him! Hilarious thread still makes me laugh to this day.

"Call nern nern nern" on the Quern thread broke me. I seem to recall the OP wasn't too happy about the thread getting hijacked as a result of the typo, but I hadn't laughed that much in ages

ermahgerd the quern one makes me cry with laughter! Don’t know why it’s so funny but it gets me every time.

The Elvis DH is mine! I've name changed since but he still makes that annoying uh huh whenever he hears the word pelvis.

The one where the bus coming back from a primary school trip had broken down and the teachers had bought the kids McDonalds for tea whilst they waited for a replacement bus - apparently some of the parents had complained on the basis that “we don’t feed our kids fast food”.

Someone quipped “how unreasonable for the bus not to breakdown next to a falafel and hummus stand”.

The off-grid ex-DH feeding the kids badger stew at the Natural History museum was fun, as was the fatballs thread.

I've just read this reply to a thread where the OP was asking if a specific situation involving a worryingly creepy and controlling guy was red flag territory.

I laughed at the reply far more than is appropriate for the serious nature of the OP but I genuinely wasn't expecting to find humour on that thread.

There's user name that made me laugh; it's either Whatfuckeryisthis or Whatwankeryisthis.

I really enjoyed Suzi Quattro's fat nan, particularly the occasional po-faced posters who would chip in every now and again to complain pompously about fat-shaming and body image (there's always one).

The one where a poster had admitted to shagging Justin Fletcher aka Mr Tumble but hadn't returned to the thread and someone said "she's probably still trying to wash off the face paint. Like Lady Macbeth, Out Damned Spot."

It made me cry laughing.

There was a thread where someone mentioned VIPoo, poo smell covering spray - and someone replied, all starry eyed, VIPoo! What a time to be alive!
