I’m relatively new to Mumsnet (18 months ish). After reading some absolute pearlers today re eating out and managing to make left over toddler meals last 2 days, I’m intrigued to know what are the stand out posts you remember.

Ive read classics but I’m after one liners that made you properly laugh.

I thought it was an artisan scotch egg still makes me chuckle.

Poster had a vision of herself looking gorgeous in a floaty white broderie anglais dress until she saw the photos and realised it was more 'Miss Havisham had thought fuck this and gone on a bender'.

This is my favourite...( not me but I just c& p original)

I tried to say to DH "I'll just have a wee and I'll be right with you" when we were headed out to visit friends.

What actually came out of my mouth was "A wee wee, a woo woo".

I could hear myself saying it and my brain was yelling at my mouth to stop talking - but too late

My minge and now wee wee and woo woo.

A lady was livid about dolphins. Proper, frothing rage. She outlined her various grievances against them. One baffled reply was something like, "Are you ... are you - a mackerel?"

"That seems strange OP. Are you in Scotland?"

That reminds me, someone once posted that they had seen two wheelchair users fighting in the street.

The next comment was, "Are you in Scotland?"

A poster was on a train when she spied a celebrity but could t remember their name.

From the description some wag came up with ‘Rasta Mouse.’

It was actually Sharleen Spiteri. I think the thread is in classics.

I didn't see this one LOL but it reminds me of my husband – we were dining out and he said there was a celebrity behind me but when I looked he'd gone to be seated… he was trying to describe him, older, Scottish, possibly an actor in River City… I did eventually spot him and it was Peter Mullan who is pretty famous… I never let him live it down!
