I love these threads - they give me lots of ideas.

We are having keema curry made with a Patak's madras spice pot (might be quite hot), onion, garlic, beef mince, tomatoes, peas, spinach and a stray carrot. With basmati rice and poppadums and minty raita.

What have you had / are going to have?

Tonight we had sausage pasta using up whatever cheese/sausages/veggies I had languishing from last weeks shop before moving into the fresh shop tomorrow.

Tomorrow we have sea bass with spinach and tomatoes and balsamic vinegar, with rice. The kids won’t eat that so will have fish fingers.

Wednesday is chicken pocket things by old El Paso, with salad

Thursday spag Bol, the leftover mince I’ll add chilli and freeze it with rice

Friday jacket potato quick and easy due to work

Saturday meatballs and pasta

Sunday toad in the hole.

JustSaying101 · 04/04/2022 21:15

Turkey burgers, greek salad and couscous

Bloodybridget · 04/04/2022 21:16

I ate the last of a butterbean, tomato and chard stew with stirfried cabbage, courgette and Brussels sprouts. The stew wasn't inspiring first time round and hadn't improved during its sojourn in the freezer. Veg were nice. Then I tidied up yesterday's plum crumble with a spoonful of vanilla custard.

BoodleBug51 · 04/04/2022 21:17

We had an italian veggie pasta sauce - DC and DH had it with pasta and garlic bread. I had mine with roasted cauliflower as I'm lower carbing.

OldTinHat · 04/04/2022 21:41

I got out an unlabelled container from the freezer, turned out to be fish pie. I'd forgotten I'd made that, so that was a nice surprise.

NeedWineNow · 04/04/2022 22:27

We had stir fry using up some bottom of the fridge pepper, mushrooms and onion with Saturday night's doner meat all thrown in the wok with soy sauce, chilli sauce and five spice with microwave rice. It was lovely. Then DH had a chocolate mousse dessert and I had 0% far Greek yoghurt (Lidl, first time trying it, really nice) with blackberries and pomegranate seeds.

Imsittinginthekitchensink · 04/04/2022 23:11

@BookFiend4Life - cut up the tofu and coat in seasoned cornflour then shallow fry.

APurpleSquirrel · 04/04/2022 23:15

We had Casareccie Pollo Picante - using the recipe they use in Zizzi just better, & we use Spirali pasta instead of Casareccie.
