Actually it makes a change from all the other houses in London their insipid neutral palace. Its a beautiful house and I do like the area but goodness me its very stripey and loud. I bet the kids love it 😃www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/121573241#/?channel=RES_BUY

Ps I cant afford this house or any house or flat in London. Im just daydreaming and looking for decorating inspiration.

They've definitely overdone the pink theme though. Pink is the only accent colour, to the point that it's boring.

Gonnagetgoing · 31/03/2022 14:14

Not for me!

It looks similar to DP's neighbours house (the DM was CEO/COO of a major music/media etc brand).

She loved decorating, loved unusual colours/prints/slogans and after about 3 years there moved to a house nearby which was detached but which was a blank canvas on which she could start again and redecorate. The stripes would drive me mad/give me migraines.

I often wonder too, it's great doing some out there stuff (for DC's obvs) but how much is DC's choice and how much is an insta-ready DP's?

Gonnagetgoing · 31/03/2022 14:16

What's interesting is how comparatively boring the garden is to the house decor!

SheWoreYellow · 31/03/2022 14:16

@Brownlongearedbat

But is that garden really gorgeous? Looks like a massive expense of nasty fake grass to me. I can understand (possibly) having fake grass for a small patch, but personally I think it's a travesty to cover such a large area with unrecyclable plastic.
It’s not fake grass? Are you looking at a six bed house on Bancroft Avenue?
Ginandcrispsarebliss · 31/03/2022 14:17

I love it

Bouledeneige · 31/03/2022 14:17

It's on a road that off the Bishops Avenue which explains the stupid price but it's not actually a great location since it's also off a wide and busy section off the A1.

I think it would give me a migraine living there. It's nit to my taste.

fancyfrogs · 31/03/2022 14:20

Love it but not the stripes, would give me a migraine!

I love the pink bath

girlmom21 · 31/03/2022 14:20

It's expensive because of the location but it's a good size house. Decor can be changed but if you're spending that much you want it to be comfortable to move straight into don't you!

Mustreadabook · 31/03/2022 14:21

I love it!

LethargeMarg · 31/03/2022 14:23

I can't stand all those extensions- it looks like a totally different house front to back and hadn't been done sympathetically to the original horse at all

Supersimkin2 · 31/03/2022 14:24

Pink bath, yes please.

Not quite sure any interior designers I know would lay claim to the rest.

diddl · 31/03/2022 14:25

I think it might have been quite nice before it was extended.

MarineBlue33 · 31/03/2022 14:26

It's the location - Hampstead Garden Suburb/ Highgate borders. Just off the Bishops Avenue AKA millionaires row.

2tired2bewitty · 31/03/2022 14:28

It would be quite good for giving directions to ‘the one with the pink garage’

Branleuse · 31/03/2022 14:31

I love it

WashedupTroll · 31/03/2022 14:32

I bloody love it, not the location or the price but I'd love to live in a house like that (minus the mouths!)

IglesiasPiggl · 31/03/2022 14:34

I need a pink bath.

HalloHello · 31/03/2022 14:36

Screams more money than sense! Although once all their belongings are out, it wouldn't be so bad. Love the garden!"%

hennybeans · 31/03/2022 14:38

I really like some of it.
Pink bath and the whole kitchen- yes!

Pink front door/ garage, lips on the bathroom wall/ dining table, so much pink, black and white- over egged the pudding. Didn't know when to say "when".

Sportsnight · 31/03/2022 14:42

It’s like living in Smash Hits magazine

EachandEveryone · 31/03/2022 14:42

I don’t know if it’s a London thing or what but nearly every house for sale above a million has those extensions on the back of it. And all open plan.

IAmNeverWrong · 31/03/2022 14:42

Ugh - it looks like a liquorice allsort!

MurmuratingStarling · 31/03/2022 14:49

It's hideous. And who would pay £2.8 million or THAT? Shock

I can think of better ways to spend that amount of money.

MurmuratingStarling · 31/03/2022 14:50

*ON that.

ThePurpleOctopus · 31/03/2022 14:51

Why on earth don't people take down personal photos, or why doesn't the photographer/agent blur out faces? There are photos of children and their names :(
