I know a handful of United/ex-United players through my old job and bump into them occasionally. Juan Mata and David de Gea are very nice guys, some others are ...not.

I saw Juan Mata and another Spanish Man Utd player (mental block) waiting with families to get an EasyJet flight from Madrid. The ground staff went to ask them if they'd like to board first and they declined, saying there were happy to wait.

Fish from Marillion still very popular having been first mentioned 30 pages ago. Based this he should go for a comeback!

Oh I forgot. SIL’s cousin met at River Cafe when she waitressed there and dated David Walliams - she was in her 20s and he must have been at least in early 40s. Anyway he flew her out to LA and she discovered she wasn’t the only woman in his life and flew straight back home. So I’d say he’s not very nice.

Ben E. King insisted on giving my exh his autograph for me. ( he was a backing musician) I was a sleep deprived new mum so didn’t really appreciate it. Taught Felicity Montague’s son. She’s lovely and her son was a sweetie. Taught 2 children now in royal family. Nice children, shame about the parent. Oh and the son of a then famous show jumper whose mum brought him to school with concussion. When your kid knocks themself out on the driveway at home, don’t put them in the back of the Jag and drop them off at school…. please. One vomiting, drowsy child blue lighted to hospital.

I’m friends with a music producer who is famous in the music industry - gets nominated for mercury awards and that sort of thing. We became friends because our dc are friends, but he’s an absolute top bloke and his wife is lovely, so Dh and I socialise with them a lot. I don’t really know anything about music really, so I tend to forget he’s actually enormously cool, and then a record by Blur or Depeche Mode or someone will come on the radio and he’ll say “Oh I produced this” and it’s quite surreal. He worked with so many of the cool bands of the nineties and noughties. And later ones too, but I’ve never heard of them so they don’t count

I'm guessing Ben Hillier. If so I love a lot of the bands he works with and have an obession with Depeche Mode.. If it's him tell him I admire his work and can he get me a date with a certain cute Austrian drummer 😉

My cousin was good friends with Hugh Grant before he became famous - and she was still in touch with him, occasionally, until about 10 years ago? Apparently, blisteringly clever and does not suffer fools, gladly.

I have a friend who I didn’t realise was famous. She wrote a song, way back, a one hit wonder. It’s still played now and has been used in adverts etc. She has a very nice regular income from it even now, years later.

I suppose she’s not famous really. Just wealthy from fame. The perfect situation

B) it would be very short and boring

I know Russell Tovey quite well. His aunt is my Godmother. My parents shared a house with my godparents for 15 years so would see him here and there. He is an awesomely lovely bloke. I also have a stash of embarrassing child photos from christmases I keep in reserve 🤣.

He seems sweet on social media and he was a laugh when he was on Grayson Perry's Art Club.

My DP also knows Fish well and likes him. Apparently his voice isn’t what it used to be so that may hinder a comeback!

My son is good friends with Rege Jean Page, who has been in my house for coffee. He is a lovely person.
