Prawn firecracker for me

@Ilostit I do, i even ask for the extra sauce, love it

WrinklesShminkles · 25/03/2022 17:26

I notice that just about everyone enjoying their Wagamama's is not eating the ramen dishes - so stick to everything else, I've never had a dud here.

The banana katsu dessert is delicious.

frazzledali · 25/03/2022 17:29

fucking madness that someone thinks having vegan options on the menu is 'woke'. WTF?

Xoxrtox · 25/03/2022 17:34

chicken katsu curry - is there anything else worth eating?

Cattenberg · 25/03/2022 17:36

I really like the mushroom and aubergine steamed buns

Me too. And I like to order a tiny side of kimchi. It only cost a pound when I last went there and it definitely isn’t bland!

ShakespearesSisters · 25/03/2022 17:38

I can't handle anything spicy and don't like fish, it limits my choice a bit but I love chicken teriyaki donburi. It has a great flavour without heat (as long as you font eat the kimchi)

buttercrinkle · 25/03/2022 17:39

Pork belly ramen. Always.

Soffit · 25/03/2022 17:42

There is loads of great vegan food in Asia that isn't trying hard to imitate meat. Wagamama's is a very British approach to vegan which mainly imitates chunks/joints of meat and fish and makes no sense really.

I had wagamamas yesterday for the first time, and I came on to say that the chicken ramen was very ordinary. Plus, the noodles were stuck together at the bottom of the bowl in a big, gluey clump. Definitely not a winning dish...

I’m also mourning the loss of chicken itame. I make my own and the dc call it magic soup as it’s all they want to eat when they’re poorly. From the current menu, I like Shu’s shiok chicken, and always the chilli salt edamame to start.

BaffledMum22 · 25/03/2022 17:47

Teriyaki Soba (ask for it with Grilled Chicken instead of the prawns/beef options on the menu) or Firecracker Chicken would be my go to 😊

Always with a side of BangBang Cauliflower 👏🏼

TomBradysLeftKneecap · 25/03/2022 17:52

I was so disappointed last time I went. The best ramen dishes have gone from the menu (I mean, how can you ditch your own signature dish?!) and the shields ahi pork ramen I make better at home.

I do like the prawn lollipops and the squid balls though.

TomBradysLeftKneecap · 25/03/2022 17:53

That should read shirodashi pork!

Whitewolf2 · 25/03/2022 17:53

Salmon Teriyaki noodles
Katsu curry
Any of the bao buns
Chilli squid

sweetzy · 25/03/2022 17:55

So much of it, I love Waga!
Edamame with chilli and salt
Duck gyoza
Pulled pork gyoza
Chicken Raisukaree
Peach tea

Plumpciousness · 25/03/2022 17:55

Yasai Katsu Curry
Yasai Pad Thai

(both vegetarian)

NEE1302 · 25/03/2022 18:00

@Bagelsandbrie

Oh I love a wagas!

I’d have yaki soba with chicken and prawns and edamame beans with chilli and salt. So nice!

This
badlydrawnbear · 25/03/2022 18:05

Edamame beans with salt, vegetable gyoza, yasai katsu curry or either tofu or prawn raisukaree

toomanytwinkies · 25/03/2022 18:10

This, it’s the best 🥰

I haven’t been there for years (one of my many ‘hell no’ businesses) but I used to like the dry noodle veggie dish that came with separate pickles and miso.

APurpleSquirrel · 25/03/2022 18:16

Either Yaki Soba or Teriyaki Chicken Donburi with Edamame with Chilli, Ebi Katsu or Chilli Squid.

SpottedOnMN · 25/03/2022 18:17

Ebi Katsu and ginger chicken udon. Every time.

BigSandyBalls2015 · 25/03/2022 18:17

Bang bang cauliflower and firecracker chicken

BookkeeperBobby · 25/03/2022 18:19

Does anybody else find that all the sauces taste like those pouches you get for stir fry in supermarkets? I really don't like it in there. And they always bring people's food at different times: like, what's the point of going out to eat together if you're not actually eating together?

Sorry I know that doesn't help you OP but I can't understand how this chain has survived so long.

peachy3 · 25/03/2022 18:20

Pork belly and panko apple buns
Tantanmen beef brisket ramen
Asahi beer
🤤
