What do you like to eat at Wagamamas?

Only been there once and had a chicken ramen which was v bland
Not my choice to go there but formed a birthday and she’s having it there so what’s good on the menu please ? I think last time I picked a duff choice

Edamame with chilli and garlic salt
Chicken gyoza
Then for main my favourite is the Kare Borosu ramen (udon noodles in a curried broth with tofu and mushrooms 😍) or the chilli chicken/beef ramen. I also like the Raisukaree and Shiok chicken.
Katsu curry is also a classic!

I think it has gone downhill though. Went last month not having been for five or six years and it was nowhere near as nice as I remembered.

Yaki Soba!

The menu has reached a lowpoint. The vegan dishes may be 'woke' but the Japanese would honestly just laugh at some of them e.g vegan short rib. I always have the yasai katsu but I only go along to be sociable, not to discover great food. I make the same katsu at home and it's waay better (but credit to them for introducing it to me).

Chicken gyoza, and then teriyaki chicken donburi or chicken katsu curry (but I do a cheat's version at home so don't have it so much when I'm out!)

I like most things that aren't ramen - I find the ramen really bland.

I love spicy food so I alway go for chicken or tofu firecracker curry, I also really like the chilli squid. My husband goes for the pad thai.

Prawn gyozas are quite nice. Then either prawn raisukaree or yaki udon.

But Wagas isn't what it used to be, everything's pretty bland now.

I always have the duck donburi and a side of prawn gyoza

Chicken katsu curry
Yaki soba - either chicken or yasi yaki soba which is veggie if I recall.
Have had the ramen bowls and find them a bit hit and Miss…

Starter - I like the duck gyozas and the beef bao buns

Mains - firecracker chicken or ginger chicken udon

Dessert - nah their desserts are rubbish

Kare burosu ramen. The mushrooms are delicious, broth flavoursome and the chillis are cleansing.

Love a waga’s too. I usually go for the teriyaki beef donburri (with fresh chilli added) or the firecracker chicken. We normally have some apps too, the dim sum is good.

Firecracker chicken, yaki soba, chilli chicken ramen, the steamed buns are nice, and gyoza. Bang bang cauliflower and wok fried greens are nice too!

Duck donburi…. Which is like crispy duck pancakes but will rice! Chilli squid, Evie’s katsu, duck gyoza and a Buddha beer! 🤤🤤🤤

Always salted edamame to start then ginger chicken udon. I have been known to ask nicely for extra ginger, I love pickled ginger

I can't stand wagamamas and have found everything I've had there too be incredibly bland and disappointing. I'm completely baffled by how popular it is. Always such a massive queue out the door of our local one. Plus I hate the whole layout of it. Having to cram yourself on an awkward bench next to a bunch of strangers. And everyone's food comes out at different times. I just find it a very unpleasant experience.
