Hitler lost WW2 because he spread himself too thin by opening up an Eastern Front and advancing on Moscow via Ukraine.
He killed millions of people, soldier and civilian, in the process. But the effort needed on the Eastern Front permanently delayed his plan to invade the UK and left his defences in France and Belgium weaker, making D-Day possible.
Now Putin coming from the other direction is spreading himself thin. If he's moving troops from Belarus and Georgia, will his grip (direct or indirect) on those countries weaken?
