I know this has been done before, but let's have a nice cheerful thread about the little purchase that thinks it's a giant. I have just bought a really cute hob kettle that makes me happy when it whistles Grin. I swear the tea tastes nicer too.

Our minature lights in bathroom that are motion sensitive, no more having to switch lights on and off to use the bathroom at night, i hated being woken up by that ! it’s a nice soft low light now. Best bit is they are charged up with the power pack that runs off the car so saves money too! Winner

Buying cut flowers cheers me up - I usually have a bunch of something around. At the moment it's blue hyacinths from the florist on the corner of our street - you can smell them as soon as you walk in the house even though they're a room away.

I am enjoying reading all the replies. Thank you all. So many lovely little things that make us smile. thanks for the info Fatgalslim. The link didn't work but I found it from the description.
I will definitely be getting a nesting box or three Grin. I never imagined that the bluetits would use them.

@ all mum11970 the best ones i have ever had are from powerbee, they light up all night until early morning when it gets light and are quite heavy duty wire. Spent ££££ on cheap ones for years and these are great, think they are called endurance, on offer at the moment too.

Gatekeeper · 20/03/2022 10:22

These are supposed to be for scrubbing out cat bowls but I use them for all sorts. £1 for 2 Smile

@Aroundtheworldin80moves

Meet Bruni. He's my favourite Lego set. Lego isn't a cheap hobby but he was less than £10 and is adorable (Its the salamander from Frozen)
That is cute. I imagine you also get the satisfaction of making it yourself . I have no patience.

2 bunches of daffs for 99p each, makes me believe that spring has sprung every time I look at them. In very tempted by lots of things on this thread as well. Especially that Next lampshade 😍

Oldh · 20/03/2022 10:32

@Etihad

This iridescent lamp shade from Next. It’s at the top of my stairs and when the light is on it fills the whole stairwell with rainbow light
That would make me smile every time I switched it on.

Silicone collapsible colanders , they stand upright so don't need to risk burning myself , don't rust and take up minimal space

Plastic whisk that's the spiral /loop type (not a balloon whisk , this is flat ) I bught 2 from SteamTrader and another from Ikea

Dishmatic- yes Grin I've got one in the bathroom full of Dr Bronners Almond Hemp Soap Liquid . A quick swirl round does the trick .

Freddie Mercury mug

MushroomCow99 · 20/03/2022 10:41

Love these threads - my Amazon account always takes a battering though.

@BlueBlueCowWondering

2 pots of tête-à-tête daffs from the Co op. A few weeks of seeing them grow and bloom then I plant in the garden ready to flower again next spring.

£2. Makes me so happy Smile

I did the same thing last year :)

Aww , plotting to get the sheep or doing the Father Ted this one is far away ............?

I have 2 of those , they were £80 each (still cheaper than a kitten/vaccine/neuter/chip) they would say they were a price far above rubies ( to misquote Proverbs 31:10 )
Not a BOGOF though they were a pair . .

Benjispruce5 · 20/03/2022 11:16

No7 luminating primer. Game changer.

Benjispruce5 · 20/03/2022 11:17

Oh and individual egg frying pan from IKEA. So cute and less of it to wash up.

Scandisaurus22 · 20/03/2022 11:22

@Imicola

A long handled teaspoon so I can get to the bottom of the mayo jar... game changer, I can't believe it took me until I was 40 to get such a thing!
I ordered one of those mini spatula spoons, you can get everything out of jars. There is a bigger one too that is really good!

My outdoor solar watering can and lights, it glows beautifully in the dark.

Titterofwit · 20/03/2022 11:32

I have a collapsible washing up bowl .
I hate using the sink to wash up in but also get annoyed by a bowl in the sink. This way I can stick the collapsed bowl under the sink when I need to stow it away.Also the drain in the bottom means that there isnt an inch of murk that needs to be tipped away after the kids have been getting drinks.
My airfryer is a must have. If this one breaks I will be straight out the buy another one. I cannot cope without it.Next one might be a ninja though.

Nnique · 20/03/2022 11:33

My happy Spring mug. I’ve been using it since January and it cheers me every time.

My MP3 player, purchased in 2007, it's a big un, I love it. I use it mainly for white noise, to meditate by.
