I know this has been done before, but let's have a nice cheerful thread about the little purchase that thinks it's a giant. I have just bought a really cute hob kettle that makes me happy when it whistles Grin. I swear the tea tastes nicer too.

I bought a teapot, milk jug, cup and saucer, side plate and dinner plate all in the same pattern from different sellers on ebay. It's an old pattern that my grandad had when I was a kid, but I managed to get these pieces really cheaply.

I get a warm fuzzy feeling when I make a pot of tea, and it reminds me of my grandad. There's something old fashioned but nice about drinking from teacups.

@Etihad

This iridescent lamp shade from Next. It’s at the top of my stairs and when the light is on it fills the whole stairwell with rainbow light
That sounds lovely. I have just ordered one of these for my hall, thanks for sharing it Smile

I’m thinking of treating myself to a neom diffuser

Anyone have experience / thoughts on them?

SunshineLollipopsAndRainbows · 20/03/2022 16:55

A silver grey faux fur rug for our bedroom. We have cheap carpet which was down when we moved in & it always feels gritty under bare feet when you get out of bed. It’s heaven with the rug there. I bought it with birthday money & it was less than £20

StScholastica · 20/03/2022 17:24

@demotedreally

Plug in plate warmer. In fact ours just broke and I realised I needed a replacement immediately
Ooh yes me too! Reduced to £9.99 in Aldi this week.
DrHildegardeLanstrom · 20/03/2022 17:25

Marimo moss balls

StScholastica · 20/03/2022 17:26

Angel Strawbridge cake forks £13 in Argos. Love them.

mbosnz · 20/03/2022 17:41

A daphne bush. I love the smell so much.

DomusAurea · 20/03/2022 17:44

@a1poshpaws

A badge saying "proud to be everything the Conservatives hate" for £2.70 including postage. It makes me feel better every time I wear it.
I need this in my life

Calandor · 20/03/2022 18:24

A really good lemon juicer that you squeeze instead of twist

timtam23 · 20/03/2022 19:01

Silicone "poach pods" for cooking poached eggs. I never had any success with poached eggs before but these are brilliant, I eat loads of poached eggs now.
And a nonstick pizza baking tray, one of the round ones with perforated base. What a revelation. No longer do we spend ages chewing through DH"s soggy-bottomed pizzas, they are now crisp and cooked through perfectly. I liked it so much I went back and bought a second one

Calandor · 20/03/2022 19:34

Oh and my Drowsy silk sleep mask. Stupid price for an eye mask but my god is it sensational. Soft, no gaps, blocks sound. I adore it.

Holothane · 20/03/2022 19:42

I’ve been looking at the Drowsy mask that settles it one for me.

Calandor · 20/03/2022 20:12

I was the same. The 60 day guarantee sold me as they say if it doesn't work for you/ improve your sleep they'll let you send it back.

The Velcro doesn't pull my hair. The side bugs muffle sound, it's the right size for my head (others are always man sized), it covers the nose bridge properly and it's very soft.

So I would recommend.

noodlezoodle · 20/03/2022 20:16

My dinosaur leggings, as recommended on a previous thread.

Thread snippers - never knew these existed and now I'm obsessed.

My hedgehog pin cushion with a sand-filled acorn for sharpening pins.

Microplane footfile, flexitol heel balm and heel socks. Transformed my hooves into normal feet again.

BobbinThreadbare123 · 20/03/2022 20:21

A santoku knife from TK Maxx. Basically the only knife I need now.

Callipygion · 20/03/2022 20:34

@Spellfish and @Scandisaurus22
Thank you for the recommendations, I need those in my life! I shall go to Lakeland next time I’m in town! Cheers.

implantreplace · 20/03/2022 20:43

@ChiswickFlo

How come?

Holothane · 20/03/2022 20:47

Brilliant I’m being bloody selfish this year I’ll save for it of course but my things are luxury now I done mean 100s of course but decent quality things.
