Report in the Guardian that she has had her passport returned and that a negotiating team are in place.

Too early for celebrations but I have got my fingers crossed behind my back.

Shocking ‘journalism’ from Sky as per but so glad she, and the gentleman, are home! Lovely news.

Bellagio40 · 17/03/2022 01:29

Absolutely brilliant

Thoosa · 17/03/2022 01:31

Nice to think the two of the bonded a bit on the long flights. They were chatting very amiably as they walked across the tarmac.

Good luck to them both.

Overthegardenfence · 17/03/2022 01:32

They’re not going to have to chat to Liz tonight are they?

TheOnlyMrsMac · 17/03/2022 01:32

So lovely to see them both striding off together, chatting and smiling, hopefully to private reunions with their families. Happy Days. Better get some more work done now! Night, night all.

wump · 17/03/2022 01:33

Welcome home both of you it's just such fantastic news.

EthelTheAardvark · 17/03/2022 01:34

I hope they're having wonderful reunions right now. There may be a tear in my eye.

Skiptheheartsandflowers · 17/03/2022 01:34

Wonderful. She and Anoosheh look well, him particularly given the conditions he has been in and being older too. The adrenalin will have lifted them.

Nazanin seemed then to now be wearing a blue dress with a yellow scarf round her neck. Coincidence? I don't think so. Yellow is the colour for a prisoner coming home, I know. But I also think it's Ukraine.

Forshorttheycallmecomp · 17/03/2022 01:36

Just for once being woken my children jn the middle of the night is worth it, to know that a tired little girl is right now getting to hug her mum and dad together for the first time in her memory. Go well Nazanin.

That's what the BBC reported a few minutes ago.

I'm not sure I'd want to see Liz Truss at this point! But all credit to her for her part in it. Part of me thinks, yes, they should be welcomed by a senior member of the government, but part of me thinks it's intrusive and the government just want the photo opportunity.

Welcome home, Nazanin and Anoosheh and all the very best for the future to them and their families. Flowers

SpinningTheSeedsOfLove · 17/03/2022 01:43

Indeed. Goodnight all. Time to leave them to their private reunions.

Well done to the RAF Regt for finally lugging those massive metal stairs about!

52andblue · 17/03/2022 01:58

Not normally glad of my insomnia but glad I woke now to see they're both Home at Last. Thank God.

Bellagio40 · 17/03/2022 02:32

So happy for them

Cupcakegirl13 · 17/03/2022 02:48

BornBlonde · 17/03/2022 07:49

Such happy tears for Nazanin, Anoosheh & their families.

Yesterday I just didn't believe the news that they may get safely home. I can't even imagine the feelings for those involved.
