Report in the Guardian that she has had her passport returned and that a negotiating team are in place.

Too early for celebrations but I have got my fingers crossed behind my back.

I hadn't noticed that, although I had noticed that it was going further north over the Black Sea than other planes. Why on earth would they fly over Iran again? Surely they could have got a different flight plan? Over Saudi would have been better.

I doubt they will force the plane down but it's not RAF, it's a charter plane.

I loved it in the HoC this afternoon when Tulip Siddiq quipped that Richard Ratcliffe has set the bar high for husbands across the country!

Richard said in his BBC interview alongside Gabriella that he was going to make Nazanin a cup of tea and needed to tidy up when they got home. Very ordinary, lovely stuff to hear and I imagine to finally be able to say.

You can see the flight path all the way to Brize Norton. They are not flying over Iran!

The dotted line is just a guide based on the distance as the crow flies, they're unlikely to fly over Iran.

About her daughter. I was under the impression that she had two daughters. She took the youngest one to Iran to see her family then got arrested. The older one stayed in the uk and did regular FaceTime/zoom calls with her, and she would sometimes read a bedtime story or something like that. But since the younger one (presumable the now seven or eight year old) came back I’ve not heard about the older one. Is that not right then? Does anyone else remember an older daughter? Have I mixed up this story with someone else?

:) Been avoiding Twitter lately, but I went on today and saw Richard's smiling face. It was lovely to see. The last time I saw his face he was on the hunger strike and looked so drawn and haggard, poor man.

She has one daughter, who was with her when she was detained. She stayed in Iran with her grandparents for the first few years. She has since returned to the UK.

I think it's been that long that you've mixed it up. She does Skype her mum. She brushes her hair in the morning on Skype. She was only baby when she took her to see her parents. She's grown up over Skype.

She only has one daughter, Gabriella. She went out with her when she was a toddler to visit her parents and was arrested. Gabriella initially stayed in Iran with her grandparents to visit her mother in prison. She eventually returned to the UK in 2019 to start school and has kept in touch with her mum via FaceTime etc ever since.

As I remember it there’s only ever been one little daughter, @OnlyClothes.
