What do you never pay full price for?

For me it's pringles. The price when they aren't on offer is shocking! But if they have a few pence off then I snap them up.

Coats and similar for Ds! Always get them in the sale for the next year

loobylou10 · 13/03/2022 12:00

Branston beans, loyd grossman sauces, fibre bars, butter, always try stock up when on offer.

FuckThatBullshit · 13/03/2022 12:00

Air Wick diffusers

HappeeInParis · 13/03/2022 12:01

Insurance and breakdown cover, phone contract, TV and broadband. You can always haggle.

dumpling123 · 13/03/2022 12:01

Toiletries and toilet roll - always bulk buy when on special offer

VeronicaBeccabunga · 13/03/2022 12:01

Loo rolls.
I often spend far too long standing in the aisle trying to work out whether I'm getting better value when it's priced in rolls, metres or square inches.
If it has a special offer flagged up on the price label I buy it regardless. No doubt loo-roll price-fixers see me coming....

bare · 13/03/2022 12:02

Pizza Express.

blockbustervideo · 13/03/2022 12:02

Bed linen

ButtockUp · 13/03/2022 12:02

Nescafe Azero
Lloyd Grossman sauces
My favourite wine

NotSure94 · 13/03/2022 12:03

Cheese. It's weirdly expensive for what it is, as much as four quid for an uninspiring big block of cheddar. I find there is always an offer on the shelf though, as much as half the price so I always look for those.

Harrriet · 13/03/2022 12:05

Baked beans
Washing liquid
Lenor/comfort
Condiments
Dishwasher tablets

mum2bee2022 · 13/03/2022 12:07

Kettle chips

Waxonwaxoff0 · 13/03/2022 12:08

Dominos pizza.

Rockbird · 13/03/2022 12:09

Pringles. They're £3 full price in my nearest big Tesco. Sod that. I pay £1.65 absolute max!

A580Hojas · 13/03/2022 12:10

Dishwasher tablets - although I often buy supermarket own brand which are never on offer but cheaper than brands even when on offer.

Lurpak butter.

Topbird29 · 13/03/2022 12:12

Newcastle azero - never pay nearly £6. Always get when half price in tesco or Co op and stock up. However- they have reduced size I'd tin now to 90g instead of 100g (but still some price!). Just going to have to drink more tea! Also pringles- always stick up when on offer as bbe is usually over a year. Do like heinz beans (so again get when in multibuy offer). And lurpak (have tried aldi's and didn't like it). Most other things we buy unbranded and not too bothered. Never buy kellogs (for instance). Way too expensive when own brand usually the same quality.

glasshalfsomething · 13/03/2022 12:12

Crisps of any kind.
Cleaning products.
Outerwear for me and the kids (hello Vinted).
Cars.

Refuse to buy a sandwich that’s not part of a meal deal. Part of me always wants to get the most expensive drink and snack just to ‘save the most’, especially in Boots.

Any brand on sale in JL. There’s nearly always 20% off if you can hold off a few week these days

Topbird29 · 13/03/2022 12:15

Nescafe azero..not Newcastle!
Also - never pay full price for ds coats for school. Usually get mountain warehouse- at least 20% off, if not more!

popcorndiva · 13/03/2022 12:15

Lurpak
Supermarket Pizza Express pizzas

MrsGHarrison87 · 13/03/2022 12:22

Azera coffee. I won't pay £6 for it so I only get it from discount shops or when it's on offer.
