What do you never pay full price for?

For me it's pringles. The price when they aren't on offer is shocking! But if they have a few pence off then I snap them up.

Triple dry deodorant - it really works but is eyewatering compared with other brands - its periodically on offer at Sainsburys and I buy several bottles at a time when it is.

HELLITHURT · 13/03/2022 18:57

Supermarket Pizza Express Pizzas

jellybeanpopper · 13/03/2022 19:04

Aveeno baby products. So expensive full price and so many pack sizes available. Why can they just make 5litre sizes and save everyone money and the planet some plastic!

PizzaCrust · 13/03/2022 19:25

Clothes. Always find some sort of discount code.

Porkbuttsandtaters · 13/03/2022 19:27

Boden and domino’s pizza

gogohm · 13/03/2022 19:31

Most things to be honest. Only exception is Lidl food which is cheaper to start with. Just done a sainsburys shop and everything apart from the cat food was yellow stickered

IglesiasPiggl · 13/03/2022 19:36

Most clothing brands, unless I really need the item there and then.
Any big furniture purchase.
Posh biscuits.

Ellmau · 13/03/2022 19:40

Winter coats - always wait for a sale

Books on kindle - I'll pay full price for real books, but mostly get kindle books as 99p deals.

GloriousGoosebumps · 13/03/2022 20:26

I never pay full price for data sims for my 4G tablet, they can be brought for half price on Ebay and provided you simply purchase a new data sim when the data has expired rather than going onto their standard tariff, you can make huge savings.

emuloc · 13/03/2022 20:34

Clothes
Coats
Yankee Candles
Cheese

Tubbyinthehottub · 13/03/2022 20:35

Twinings Earl Grey tea bags

TheDuchessOfMN · 13/03/2022 20:40

Most things really.

I’m not necessarily loyal to any particular brand, I’ll usually buy what’s on offer.

I used to always buy the kids clothes in the end of season sale for the following year

ListenToChickens · 14/03/2022 07:12

Cars.

Unlike my father-in-law, who does about ten miles a year, changes his car every 2-3, and has always paid list price. 🤦🏻‍♀️

MintyFreshBreath · 14/03/2022 08:07

@Rockbird

Pringles. They're £3 full price in my nearest big Tesco. Sod that. I pay £1.65 absolute max!
Me too but half price was £1.50 probably about a month ago 😭 😭
savehannah · 14/03/2022 08:13

Crisps - I always buy whatever is on offer for as close to £1 for six bags.

Branded chocolate bars eg Mars, Twirl, Crunchie etc. I only buy them when they're on an offer £1 for four. Spending 80p on a single one or £1 from a vending machine (DD1!!) is madness.

twilightcafe · 14/03/2022 08:14

Finish dishwasher tablets. I know supermarket brands are cheaper but I know Finish will do the job.

Ambrosia custard.
Robinson's squash.

Sweetener12 · 14/03/2022 10:21

Pringles and fruit snacks
Lots of software I use (like Photoworks or Smartshow 3d) were bought with Black Friday discounts
Sugar free and gluten free snacks

Trisolaris · 14/03/2022 10:27

Occasion dresses. I’m trying to reverse the psychology of my teens and twenties and only buy dresses for nights out or weddings from Vinted or Depop or will look into renting them. (They are just as good and so much cheaper!) Instead I’d rather spend good money on my everyday clothes that I spend far more time in!

Readyforspring · 14/03/2022 10:32

Car service /mots as a big saving
Pringles / big bars of chocolate

MrsClatterbuck · 14/03/2022 10:39

Most anything. Always on the look out for offers but only stuff that I use. Same re Nestle Azera refuse to pay full price and Lor or classique decaffeinated for DH. Currently have 200 dishwasher tablets (2 bags of 100 ) bought on offer so should last 6 months. Dh prefers Klesnex balsam tissues which seem to Benin short supply. Used to get them in Asda 2 for £3. Now 2 for £4. Last time i was in I bought 2 twin packs which should have been £8 but when at the self service till came up as £3 per twin pack so bought another one. If it's a really good offer I will buy a couple extra but no stock piling. Have discovered that M & S beans are good and so much cheaper than Heinz dh is a big Heinz fan 35p per tin. Also buy their digestives 65p did try Sainsburys but they went down like a lead balloon.

I do my DM shopping in Mark's so avail of anything that works out cheaper and their yellow sticker items.
Once got Rotisserie chickens for just over £2 each. Now use Sainsburys laundry products and ditched Persil. Though these last few weeks the amount and selection on the shelves has been very poor.
I live in NI and lots of things I could get now are not on the shelves or appear sporadically. Was told when trying to buy m&s mild chicken curry for a relative that it wouldn't be available for 6 months!!!!
This time last year I got a lovely winter coat in Mark's for £9 in their sale. Previously £99

robocracker · 14/03/2022 10:41

@Hellorhighwater

The DFS sofa I have my eye on has been almost full price since I first saw it ages ago. Bloody thing (I think there was a hundred quid off at Xmas, but not a proper discount) I specifically went to try it in case it got discounted and I needed to phone up and order one quick!)

Doesn’t matter, as I can’t afford it anyway, but how did only I manage to pick something that’s never on offer!

I like Aussie shampoo, and buy them when they’re 3 for a tenner. Dishwasher tablets, and Pringles for my kids. Not a lot else. I either need it now, or I like a specific brand. If I don’t like a specific brand, then I’m already not buying branded.

Is it a French connection one? They're hardly ever on offer!
user1497207191 · 14/03/2022 10:43

Heinz beans
Toilet roll
Washing powder
McCoys crisps
Utterly butterly
Coke and pepsi

These (and many others) are always "on offer" at one of the main supermarkets in rotation.

PutinIsAWarCriminal · 14/03/2022 10:44

Denby Pottery, Baileys, Bombay Sapphire, Radley Handbags and Yankee Candles. They are only things I treat myself to with birthday or Christmas money, so I wait for an offer or sale.

BeePeeGee · 14/03/2022 10:48

I thought Pringles as soon as I say this title

GlitteryGreen · 14/03/2022 10:49

Deodorant. No way am I paying £3.50 for a can of deodorant.
