For me it's pringles. The price when they aren't on offer is shocking! But if they have a few pence off then I snap them up.

Frugi stuff for DS - the parsnip pants are good over cloth nappies but no way would I pay full price when they have a sale every other month or so!

MzHz · 13/03/2022 13:10

Yes to a lot of these - always search for a discount code and yes to JL and their 20% offs.

One super makeup brand that I’ve come across ByTerry, pretty bloody pricey, but omg so good. I got an online makeup consultation and the woman was just sooo lovely! Really clicked with her! She gave me a code for 20% off, so I use that for every order if there isn’t already a deal on.

Sport shoes.com are fab for trainers, SportPursuit is fab for gear, jackets etc. Wiggle is good too, H buys his water supplements from there only when on offer

Waitingwaiting3 · 13/03/2022 13:13

Cleaning products and washing powder - I use eco ones, but they all (eco or not) always go on offer at some point so I stock up then.

Although I am thinking of switching to the dissolvable tablets to save on plastic waste, and they’re cheaper (or they should be?!).

Pringles

m030978 · 13/03/2022 13:17

Gluten free bread
If its reduced to half price or less I might consider it. Otherwise I'll live without bread.
I'm not paying £3 for a tiny loaf!

NeverChange · 13/03/2022 13:23

Most things, especially since Covid19 as I know have for time to shop around.

Always look for a discount code before purchasing. Shop around on different websites for the best price. Never buy anything before a baby holiday as there are nearly always sales or discounts on those weekends etc. Never take the first price for a hotel etc. Use skyscanner for all flights etc.

I'm not tight but think accepting the first price without checking for better is being taking for a mug.

I feel your pain! Gluten free anything is shockingly expensive (and the slices of bread and biscuits are tiny!) so I buy gf products when on offer. I tend to buy all my clothes and boots in the sales, because why wouldn't you?
Redcrayons · 13/03/2022 13:28

Most clothes, through necessity. In my lottery win fantasy life, I don’t immediately navigate to the clearance section on websites.

I also will only pay yellow sticker prices for Charlie Bigham.

Asongfromthedarkesthour · 13/03/2022 13:30

Instant coffee, we have which ever is on offer.

Adidas trainers. I can always always find a voucher code for something off with a quick google.

RightOnTheEdge · 13/03/2022 13:38

Pringles for me too, their full price is shocking!
Multi packs of Coke Zero or Pepsi Max,
Haagen Dazs ice cream.

Supersimkin2 · 13/03/2022 13:49

Cashmere and dresses.

Avail at 70 per cent off in M and S and Zara sales.

Wait for the sweet spot at the end, or get lucky on the first day.

Sgtmajormummy · 13/03/2022 13:56

The family’s trusted brands of toiletries. We consume them at the same rate so I shop around and stock up when the price is right.
Same for coffee.
Quilting cotton is shockingly expensive. I have a local Facebook alert for anybody selling stashes and only buy from shops at less than €10 a metre.
My wedding dinner service. It’s still being produced, but why buy a plate for 17 euros when they go for 5 on EBay?

Lovinglife45 · 13/03/2022 14:14

Clothes - I rarely pay full price for any garments. I head straight to the sales section.
Coats - my three purchases this year were half price.

WellThatsATurnipForTheBooks · 13/03/2022 14:15

New York Cinnamon and Raisin Bagels (although even the special offer price is now £1.20 rather than £1)
Twinings Earl Grey teabags
Yorkshire teabags
Toothpaste
Doritos

MrsGHarrison87 · 13/03/2022 14:25

I've thought of another. Those Innocent juices which you get in different colours and are meant to do different things, vitamin c, immunity etc. They're normally £3.50 each!

Thecurtainsofdestiny · 13/03/2022 14:28

Oreos

Roystonv · 13/03/2022 14:32

Snapfish for my photo books but always price compare and check for money off codes generally.

Ariela · 13/03/2022 14:43

PG Tips - aim for under £4 for 240

BitOutOfPractice · 13/03/2022 14:45

Fabric conditioner, dishwasher tabs, washing powder, kitchen roll. I buy whatever is on offer.

I am not tight with many things but I am so stingy with kitchen roll. I ration it and won’t use a full sheet when half will do. No idea why 🤷‍♀️

Toddlerteaplease · 13/03/2022 14:52

White stuff and Joules!

BankingOnChange · 13/03/2022 14:54

Dowe Egberts. It's the only instant coffee we like and I stock up whenever I see it on offer.

Londontown12 · 13/03/2022 15:03

Coffee

uncomfortablydumb53 · 13/03/2022 15:06

SouthParkCovid · 13/03/2022 15:27

Mainly clothes, usually wait for a sale or google for a discount code.

Grandville · 13/03/2022 18:51

Any branded food. Either get it on offer, get own brand or go without.

Clothes are 95% either charity shop, ebay or sale.

Flowers. Always get 25% off at Bunches plus previous spend points.

Anytime I need to make an expensive purchase, I check for discount codes or deals. I get a lot of offers with O2 and Amex so use those as well as online codes.

Bulk buy loo roll on Groupon. Also use Groupon for deals on eating out and massages etc.
