What do you never pay full price for?

For me it's pringles. The price when they aren't on offer is shocking! But if they have a few pence off then I snap them up.

Sanex shower gel. It's nearly always on offer in boots or Superdrug so I refuse to buy it the rare times it isn't.

I can't imagine anyone in the history of the world has ever paid full price for a DFS sofa!

I never pay full price for trainers. I get the previous season of my preferred brand , which essentially means they're a different colour but £20 or 30 cheaper.

FormerlySpeckledyHen · 13/03/2022 12:26

Any toiletries , cleaning products , loo paper etc. Always buy when on a deal.

amusedbush · 13/03/2022 12:30

Dry shampoo. I only wash my hair twice a week so I use a lot of it, and I refuse to use any brand other than Batiste. I stock up on the big 400ml cans when they are on a deal.

I’m so grateful for my size 5 feet because I buy my trainers in the junior section Grin

I exclusively wear Adidas Stan Smiths and I can generally get them for about £30 with student discount - and they are identical to the adult ones at £75. I buy two pairs a year and wear them until they fall apart.

SpiderinaWingMirror · 13/03/2022 12:33

Agree with the nescafe azera. Would never pay more the £3 for it.

Hellorhighwater · 13/03/2022 12:34

The DFS sofa I have my eye on has been almost full price since I first saw it ages ago. Bloody thing (I think there was a hundred quid off at Xmas, but not a proper discount) I specifically went to try it in case it got discounted and I needed to phone up and order one quick!)

Doesn’t matter, as I can’t afford it anyway, but how did only I manage to pick something that’s never on offer!

I like Aussie shampoo, and buy them when they’re 3 for a tenner. Dishwasher tablets, and Pringles for my kids. Not a lot else. I either need it now, or I like a specific brand. If I don’t like a specific brand, then I’m already not buying branded.

Namechangedforspooky · 13/03/2022 12:35

Branded stuff for my 8 yo (TK maxx only!).
Swimwear is obscenely expensive for the amount of time it lasts so only ever bought on sale

LairyMcClairy · 13/03/2022 12:39

Yorkshire teabags
Curry kits and jars of sauce
Ready meals like M&S/Charlie Bighams
Vitamins for me and the kids
Toothpaste and brushes

KatherineJaneway · 13/03/2022 12:40

Anchor. Always buy on offer.

andysgirl22 · 13/03/2022 12:41

@NotSure94 sooo with you on the cheese prices. And especially as you say for what it is you need other things with it ifkwim to make a meal/snack... Although I'm saying that whilst channeling my inner mouseling and considering just taking a bite out of the block haha. My one though is fizzy pop haha. Although for anyone else feeling this about fizz convert to Aldi professor peppy and the ilk its only 42pencr a two litre and fab x

DockOTheBay · 13/03/2022 12:42

Ben and Jerrys
Large bags of crisps
Dishwasher tablets

Clothes for my kids. I love the scandi brands but I'm not paying £40 for a jumper for a 2 year old!

Skyeheather · 13/03/2022 12:47

Entry to theme parks, always save the 2 for 1 vouchers on packets.
Toiletries, always wait for offers then stock up.
Any kind of sharing crisps.
Easter Eggs

implantreplace · 13/03/2022 12:47

Tilda microwave bags

EvenStrangerThings03 · 13/03/2022 12:50

Now I think about it, it’s mainly dental stuff for me Grin I use pronamel toothpaste and will go wherever it’s on offer and buy a few, and I never buy full price mouthwash, just whatever is on offer.

Also deodorant.

ssd · 13/03/2022 12:50

Everything. We've lived on a low income for over 20 years. I'm tighter than a ducks arse.

franke · 13/03/2022 12:51

Philadelphia cream cheese
Shoes and boots

RewildingAmbridge · 13/03/2022 12:51

Ecover, method, percol or illy coffee, Boden, Frugi (DS) , any treat or luxury item on the grocery shop, we're not fussy so it'll be whichever nice ice cream is on offer for example and if there isn't any we don't have it, most things seem to go in cycles in terms of offers so regular things like laundry detergents, tea, coffee etc just stock up when on offer. Also use my blue light card wherever possible

Fizbosshoes · 13/03/2022 12:51

I also have small feet but the junior sizes of similar trainers to the ones I want, don't come in half sizes which is a bummer. However it is often an advantage for previous season trainers, as usually they have sold out of the most popular sizes (5, 5.5, 6, 7 etc and only have the smallest and largest sizes left (at a decent discount)

Derrymum123 · 13/03/2022 12:52

Perfume. It is always on offer somewhere.

MadCattery · 13/03/2022 12:53

Razors. So expensive for what they are!

VanLife · 13/03/2022 12:54

I was just about to say perfume aswell

Takenoprisoner · 13/03/2022 12:54
