Dd2 is sitting on the sofa completing the QR code feedback survey from the attraction we were at today.
She always wants to rate the cleanliness of toilets or the service in a shop.
Just why????

3yo DD climbling, jumping and spinning. She's asd and sensory seeking, so anything with big movements makes her happy.

7yr son old loves dogs licking him, he literally lies in the floor at Grannies house why the dogs lie on top of him washing him from head to toe.
4yr old son loves carrying the clean washing upstairs the more trips up and down stairs the better 🙄

My five year old DS insisted on helping me mend a rip in his older brothers onesie today. So I taught him how to sew and now he's made a list of everything he is going to make! Future fashion designer maybe?!

When I was a kid my favourite thing was going to Carpetright! Used to love looking at all the samples and hiding between the big rolls of carpet.

myyellowcar · 12/03/2022 20:02

When I was a kid I used to love going to bathroom showrooms and checking whether the baths had water in them as I swear one once did. This set me up for disappointment for the rest of my life as you basically never see one with water in.

We also used to love looking around show homes, picking which bedroom we would have.

HerculesMulligan · 12/03/2022 20:06

2yo DD absolutely loves doing an LFT. If she sees me doing a nasal swab, she'll stand next to me shouting "Me! Mine! Next! My turn!". She was exposed to Covid on Thu so we're testing her daily at the moment and she's delighted.

AliasGrape · 12/03/2022 20:07

19 months old and she LOVES going up/ down stairs or any step she can see anywhere really. So walking along the high street with her is a laborious process as she wants to step up/ down into and out of every shop along the way. She has to shout ‘STEP’ on every one too.

catfunk · 12/03/2022 20:10

no kids but when I was little I used to be obsessed with the supermarket check-outs and pretend to beep the barcodes all myself before putting the stuff in the bags

NerdyBird · 12/03/2022 20:15

DD went through a phase of enjoying cleaning the toilets last year, odd but useful.

BertieBotts · 12/03/2022 20:15

She is of my own heart :o I used to love giving feedback like that when I was a child. Couldn't be bothered nowadays! Perhaps she'll be a teacher or go into UX research or QA testing (these all hit the same buttons for me as an adult)

haaaaaaalp · 12/03/2022 20:17

Dd is 4 and she has always wrapped long sticks like straws/paintbrushes/chopsticks in a napkin or square of fabric like a glasses cloth. Pretends they're princesses. Done this since about 2! She's got many prized manky old straws wrapped in toilet paper around the house. Can't throw the princesses away.

BertieBotts · 12/03/2022 20:18

Oh DS2 loved lateral flows for a while too, and he's the only kid I've ever met who wanted to have an injection at the doctor's Confused he even gladly went back for the next one!

Bagelsandbrie · 12/03/2022 20:18

I love reading these.

My son aged 9 is currently obsessed with making tin foil balls and trying to hammer them to make them as smooth as possible. No idea…!

Barrawarra · 12/03/2022 20:19

3yr old loves emptying the fluff from the tumble dryer, and eating frozen peas. Not at the same time Smile.

VampireMoney · 12/03/2022 20:21

When I was a kid I loved a trip to B&Q because I liked collecting the colour cards for the paint and when I got home I'd cut out each coloured rectangle, stick it in my scrapbook and write the name of the shade under it 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thecurtainsofdestiny · 12/03/2022 20:24

Watching the neighbour's cat eat a mouse Shock

2catsandhappy · 12/03/2022 20:25

As a young girl my dd liked going into all the sheds at B & Q.

AnneLovesGilbert · 12/03/2022 20:25

DD is 2 and loves tidying. I tidy so we don’t live in a shit tip, I don’t love it. She loves going to the supermarket so she can tidy the veg into the right compartments. She also loves scanning barcodes with the scan and go thing. She’s also big into I stacking the dishwasher and folding laundry. She’s really very helpful.

DSD has been a very keen list writer from age 6ish.

Greydogs123 · 12/03/2022 20:28

My 9 yr old dd loves adverts - any and all. Loves tv adverts, radio, even the ads on games and apps. It’s bizarre.

peepee123 · 12/03/2022 20:36

My 4 always liked to rearrange supermarket shelves if people put things back in the wrong place.
Ds4 liked to arrange his toy car in rainbow order.
They all liked to do the washing.

GailTheSnail · 12/03/2022 20:39

My 2 year old likes to ask me "what's that noise?" And when i tell him, correct me by saying "no. Helicopter"
That's very much his bag at the moment

TheYearOfSmallThings · 12/03/2022 20:40

Throwing stones into water. Any stone will do, any water will do.

Clariana · 12/03/2022 20:44

@myyellowcar

The spa bath at the ideal standard showroom has water in it to demonstrate the jets, always has had (not the same water, it gets changed!) maybe you went there?
