National offers day! Anyone else biting their nails?

I'm on tenterhooks and cannot wait until tomorrow to find out what school my dc have got into.
We live in london and the results don't get published until 5pm so it's going to be a long day.

Anybody else waiting and want to join me In my pacing or sit on me so that I don't wear a hole in the carpet?

I have a feeling we're going to either get our 3rd choice or the school that is closest to us which is awful and we didn't even put it down

I regret the order I put my choices in. Really not sure I want school 2 or 3 at all. If we don't get 1st choice, it means something has gone really wrong somewhere - can't bear the prospect of having to deal with it.

Three years ago when my ds was moving to secondary, it was 5pm. I think so people have a chance to sleep on it before phoning the council!

Three years ago when my ds was moving to secondary, it was 5pm. I think so people have a chance to sleep on it before phoning the council!

i.e. so the council have a chance to run away and turn everything off immediately after sending out their bastard emails.

Joining you all with my heart in mouth for the last hour, London here too. Pretty sure won’t get first or second today but there’s a lot of movement after offers day here so hope to get one of them before too long! Good luck everyone still waiting in London!

Mine got their first choice and was happy this morning!
Then came home upset because they’ve been separated from friends. Obviously completely forgot that I’d said to check with them WAY back in October what their choices were, of course 🙄

It was 5pm on the dot for primary. I was on a tube and desperately trying to login before I got to a tunnel....
Am most unimpressed that someone has just plonked a meeting in my calendar for 5pm....

I'm now sat at work refreshing my emails and nearly gave myself a heart attack when I saw a new one pop up, but it was just a work email.
Do these people not know I have better things to do? Grin

I'm off to make a coffee, that should kill at least 4 mins. While I'm away please could none of you login as I don't want the site to crash

I remember the agony of this two years ago with dd, and have it to come with ds. Worse because dd goes to an all girls comp, so it doesn’t help me with a sibling place or anything .

They seemed to go out alphabetically, as dd whose surname begins with B had her offer before friends further down the alphabet

Oh no.. I'm dreading this if my daughter ends up at the girls' school, meaning we'd have to go through all of this again in three years. I've cracked and poured myself a large glass of Nero d'avola, while still trying and failing to work.
