Try Semantle.

It's like Wordle in that you need to guess the word of the day, but works by semantics. So you input a word and it will tell you how close you are. You have infinite guesses.

For example, ysterday's word was 'costly' with expensive, cumbersome and burdensome being the three closest words.

I'm currently 840 words away with a similarity of 47%. I started at under 2%.

Anybody else attempting it?

I solved Semantle #33 in 225 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 5.00. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #20. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 38.02 (964/1000). semantle.novalis.org/

Well, my time on the loo only got me to a similarity of 21.61, but I've just got my first green! 982, but only guess 26, so I'm feeling like I may be on the beginning of the right lines, amazingly! Especially as 982 has a similarity of 43.66 and the nearest word only has a similarity of 63.95 !

Guess 80 and 966/1000.
I have a theme but don't know where to go next! 😆

Oh, and now I'm completely stumped. I just got another green - 946 this time, so closer than 982, but its similarity is 36.67 Oh well, I'll keep trying the very odd theme I seem to be stuck on!

943 and totally walloped, no idea.

After 966 I used a thesaurus and got it! Phew

Yay! I redeemed myself and managed to get today's word fairly quickly.

I did cheat a bit though (thank god for thesauruses) but it was only my 2nd go so I'll chalk that up to getting into the way of it and let myself off
