Try Semantle.

It's like Wordle in that you need to guess the word of the day, but works by semantics. So you input a word and it will tell you how close you are. You have infinite guesses.

For example, ysterday's word was 'costly' with expensive, cumbersome and burdensome being the three closest words.

I'm currently 840 words away with a similarity of 47%. I started at under 2%.

I solved Semantle #33 in 112 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of -1.41. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #10. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 24.62. semantle.novalis.org/

God this is infuriating! I do need to waste time though. Got it in 92 first time playing.

Ah yes I think personally I would prefer people didn't name words, especially in the first few words of an answer as it shows up on threads I'm on. PMing people who want a green word seems like the best strategy for this.

I had to give up yesterday, as my brain died and then was SO annoyed as I'd got to heart, and thought about trying kidney (which would have got me closer I guess) but then thought it was too close! I am quite poorly at the minute but still, very frustrating.
Today, I'm doing worse I think - closest I've got is a similarity of 14.01 but that was guess 6 and I'm now on guess 17! I'm not going to ask for a hint just yet though, going to go to the loo and have a good old think first!

I think it means a spelling mistake or maybe a shortened word.

I've had it a couple of times for spelling mistakes and had it yesterday for chemo so I typed chemotherapy and that was a higher word.

After three days of getting it fairly fast I’m struggling today! I had one low green word and then 100+ cold guesses!

If you’re still only on guess 17 then I wouldn’t think too hard, just get some more random guesses in.

Although actually today that method isn’t working for me so maybe not!

I've been playing this the last few days and I really enjoy it but today's has me absolutely stumped! I'm at 991 closeness! I mean at that point it should be fairly obvious shouldn't it? But I have no idea. 72 guesses. I've tried everything I can think of! I think I'm going to have to leave it a while and come back to it because I refuse to use hints

My highest was 638, went for a a few random words, and got it on guess 71 ! Still not sure how the heck it links to the other green words.

Can someone please PM me a hint, still stuck on 512 although now got 324!
