Try Semantle.

It's like Wordle in that you need to guess the word of the day, but works by semantics. So you input a word and it will tell you how close you are. You have infinite guesses.

For example, ysterday's word was 'costly' with expensive, cumbersome and burdensome being the three closest words.

I'm currently 840 words away with a similarity of 47%. I started at under 2%.

Anybody else attempting it?

This game is infuriating!! 😂 I'm up to 27.96 and don't know if the theme I'm running with is even correct.

If you’re still in cold words then I wouldn’t necessarily start thinking of themes yet. Just get more guesses out there until you’re in the green.

Do larger words @SmolCat that covers bigger things then go in from there.

For instance, instead of dog or cat, do animal. Instead of tea or coffee, do drink.

Go broader then work inwards.

I solved Semantle #32 in 74 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 13.99. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #52. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 63.86 (995/1000). semantle.novalis.org/

I didn't get the gloomy words. I went another way and got so lost. Husband got gloomy which stumped him briefly but was easier to come out from.

Just figured something out!! At the top it says the nearest word has a similarity of 73.89. That’s pretty low for the closest word, so it’s a hint it’s more of a “area on the topic” than an actual synonym.

Yes and yesterday’s was only 65.77! I do struggle to think more broadly.

Got it in 37 today, getting better. Wordle was another matter though

No.32. My 2nd try/day.
Got 971/1000 on guess 29, then went from 455 to 956 with several between, then got to 988 at guess 40, but seem to be getting further away and stuck on guess 73 atm. My last few guesses have been cold. 😩
