It's like Wordle in that you need to guess the word of the day, but works by semantics. So you input a word and it will tell you how close you are. You have infinite guesses.

For example, ysterday's word was 'costly' with expensive, cumbersome and burdensome being the three closest words.

I'm currently 840 words away with a similarity of 47%. I started at under 2%.

Anybody else attempting it?

Yesterday I stumbled on the word intelligence, and went off on the wrong track to academia, philosophy etc

Yesterday's I had "intelligence" for 996 and had to give up 😑 I'm 120 guesses in today and I'm determined not to quit.

60th guess on today’s has me warm, 41/1000. Not that that means much! Until lunch

Yesterday I stumbled on intelligence and didn’t take me long to get it after that.

Stuck today, guess 192 and it’s my first green one at 892/1000

I gave up, I was swimming around military words and soldier etc. was nearing 170 guesses, though took me a while to get military in the first place.

Some of the similar words on the list were bewildering - paedophile, adulteress?

I had words like romance, lover, porno (!) and plot was my highest for ages so I was definitely on the wrong line at that point

Romance, lover, affair, spy. It also depends on how your mind works doesn’t it and your life experiences

Yesterday my 2 themes were military related and astronaut related! Spaceship and alien were top 1000 words!

Today am 87 guesses in and have found words 206, 230 and 367. Everything related is a dud. Will come back to it later.

I’ve only just started yesterday following this thread. Managed to get yesterdays within the 80s. Not a chance today

Today I’m 36 guesses in, have words 893 and 480 which are very similar in meaning but none of their other synonyms are close

997 was guess 58, finally got it on guess 96. Phew!

I have 872 and 873 so far today - they are one letter apart but I can't find any better. Not even sure I'm doing it right - today is the first I've ever got any greens!

Guess #5 took me to 982, but can't get closer for now 😕

Finally got green but struggling to think of other words

I also got stuck on the military thing yesterday, then with about an hour to go before midnight I peeked at the Semantle subreddit and got a good clue from one thread there, from which I worked it out in two guesses. I was about to give up so justified me cheating slightly!

The best I've got so far is a word with 21.71. When can we have a clue
