Try Semantle.

It's like Wordle in that you need to guess the word of the day, but works by semantics. So you input a word and it will tell you how close you are. You have infinite guesses.

For example, ysterday's word was 'costly' with expensive, cumbersome and burdensome being the three closest words.

I'm currently 840 words away with a similarity of 47%. I started at under 2%.

Anybody else attempting it?

My yesterday was a weird one. I guessed fiddle as my second word which was very high. Then play then violin was guess 4 (and 999). Took me another 16 guesses going through all kinds of things like quartet and bow and viola before I remembered piano is a string instrument.

Very stuck today

I have green word 941. Can’t get higher and can’t say I’m particularly knowledgeable in this subject so I’m at a loss.

I think I've found the connection now but it has me stumped. Will have to stop soonand take a break.

My highest is 927 and that helped me get the connection.

It took me 201 tries today (bad) but that only actually took half an hour (good)

Does anyone have good strategies for starting words yet? I'm literally choosing any random words that come into my head/ that I hear on TV/ things I can see around me!

That took a while today!

I solved Semantle #29 in 49 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 16.71. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #30. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 58.69 (918/1000). semantle.novalis.org/

I don't get it....are you trying to guess a word with similar meaning? So if I put a word in and it comes up 25.6, what is that telling me?

Could someone PLEASE PM me with a high ish word? Maybe in the 7/800’s. Really struggling today getting nowhere and I have housework to do Grin. This is only day 2 for me but can see how it gets addictive

Hellcat not much on its own. But if you have a word that's 25.4 and then another that is 36.3, the 36.3 word is closer in meaning then the 25% one is. But if you guessed one that is only 9.7 then that's even further away.
