Meanwhile Kyiv have held on overnight ~ this is incredible. Day two Russia hoped to take the capital. We are now on day four.
Whatever happens Ukraine have shown the world how strong and brave they are, we will all support them back to independence and freedom.

Russia meanwhile continues to sink under world condemnation, and some banks are being removed from Swift (at long last Germany agreed) Putin has gone very quiet. I am not sure if it is a good or bad thing.

Hackers meanwhile hack Russian TV and show the real footage in Ukraine. It was the only thing that made me smile this morning! Morning folks, another day breaks in Ukraine :)

Yes and Johnson has really pushed for this, not that many on mn would give him credit for how well he has led in this grim situation.

Actually Johnson and the MoD have been ahead of this situation for months I agree janiie and have shown to be world leaders not just in authentic intelligence - but also strategic understanding of Russia's military planning. Where would Ukraine be now without our missiles and the training and planning for the UK? The helmets from Germany were strangely enough massively unhelpful when you have rockets raining down.

There is a crunch coming, praying for Ukraine.

pandai Thank you for that link - I think the UK have called this exactly right, and now Ukraine has so much more support from other countries we can now start to really hope they will prevail.

The only reason Johnson is so focussed on swift is because it takes the attention from the billions of pounds of Russian money laundering in London and the close ties between the Conservative Party and Russian oligarchs.

It also draws attention from Johnson's close ties Evgeny Lebedev, son of Alexander Lebedev, former KGB officer, friend of Putin.

Johnson handed a peerage to Lebedev in July 2020 and Evgeny Lebedev now sits in the House of Lords.
