What is my eye colour?

So all my life I've always said I've got green eyes.
My partner recently said well there brown not green. We got into a debate and he said actually they're greeny brown.

But there's only a small amount of brown the most colour is green. Wouldn't you just class then as green?

I would like to have clarification please from MNters?

What is my eye colour?

100% hazel, which is a mix of green, brown and gold and can look different in different lights. Very cool!

Ah thanks all.

I always thought hazel colour was a golden brown with hint of green. I feel mine are too green for that.

At least I can say hazel now Grin

More green than Hazel imo.
My eyes are blue and still have brown around the iris.

Hazel. Still uncommon

Mine are similar but I have a central heterochromia - meaning my brown band around the pupil is small and unbroken and does out spread out into the pupil. The rest of the eye is very green.

It's like you've gone for all the colours, you've got some blue around the outside too 😁

So brown, then green then blue, but I'd say green. I don't really know what people mean when they say hazel eyes though, I'd have thought browner than this.
