Well I bloody fell asleep and missed it all didn’t I?! What fantastic news to wake up to though; cracking effort from our ladies. Just watching it on catch up now from when I fell asleep.
I have to say, before I watched it I did wonder how it was a sport! But I’m in awe of how they stand upright on the ice, let alone transition from walking to running to actively sweeping, stepping over the other stones gliding let alone the fact that they manage to do it in such close proximity to someone else WITHOUT falling over or crashing and that’s before you even get to the point of the strategy of the game! They make it look so so easy.

And the Japanese are even such a beautiful team in defeat too. Very petite! They look tiny in comparison to our team Smile

Well done girls! I'm so old I can remember Rhona Martin yelling 'Haaaaaaaard! when her team won gold

I stayed up to watch and so glad I did . Brilliant match - well done Eve and team . I am also old enough to remember Rhona’s win !

Morning All.

I missed the medal ceremony as I had been up for 22 hours by that point and just couldn’t last a minute longer.

I will watch it later along with the interviews once I’ve had coffee.

I am so pleased that you all enjoyed it and that some of you now have a better understanding of the sport. And yes it definitely is a sport.

That was amazing.
Well done Eve and co. I was hoping that she'd pipe the team around the stadium!
A brilliant win!
The Japanese team were worthy opponents.

@Polyanthus2

There does seem to be a negative attitude to curling on the BBC - maybe it's too Scottish for them....... only want english rowers etc
That occurred to me!

I couldn't stay up to watch it live but we recorded it and I just finished watching the whole match. I don't follow curling outside the Olympics, or understand some of the tactics for why a particular shot is chosen, but I really enjoyed watching the Olympic competitions. And the two medals are the icing on the cake. Well played Eve Muirhead and team. Japanese team also extremely gracious in defeat I thought, and they looked thrilled to get silver.
