Threads you remember with fondness for being utterly batshit

The one that always gets me is the one where a woman gets angry with some builders and yelled 'Willy Willy Willy' at them
Also didn't see this delight at the time but have since learnt about it was the Sistine screamer- I could die laughing thinking about that one
What are your best threads for comedy value?

OP posts:
sadpapercourtesan · 18/02/2022 22:46

The shopping list threads, way back. Utterly bonkers stuff.

Squiff70 · 18/02/2022 22:52

The thread where a lady said she wouldn't leave her washing out overnight in case it got 'darked on'.

And 'do spiders have willies?'

Cheekypeach · 18/02/2022 22:54

The one where an overly keen attachment parent type was spitting feathers over family/friends/members of the public touching her toddler DS without permission, and asked whether printing off ‘bodily autonomy’ cards for him to hand out to people who approached him was a good idea.

Fucking. Nuts.

Dimensions3 · 18/02/2022 22:56

Korean woman shed one and the If your name is Barbara you are a librarian one.

I still sometimes hear someone’s name and their occupation and think to myself, If your name is Sonia then you are a baker, etc. Probably not funny to anyone but me. Blush

LifeIsBusy · 18/02/2022 22:57

The one when the OP replaced a shared fence and the neighbour watered it daily 🤔😆

lucysmam · 18/02/2022 22:58

The one where the OP was wondering about warming the plates in the tumble dryer before serving dinner on them. Still makes me chuckle thinking about it now 🤣

Scbchl · 18/02/2022 23:02

Snapped and farted

FindingMeno · 18/02/2022 23:04

The zombie plan. For Sark I think. And OFRS's.

Barrawarra · 18/02/2022 23:04

Beat me to it, so funny.

Balonz as well, although not batshit in the same way.

musicmadnessnumber57806 · 18/02/2022 23:05

The rhythmless man thread

GlumyGloomer · 18/02/2022 23:14

Sharon and the wine, t-rexing in asda. Reason both in classics.
Best thread I've seen live was the one where Op was being pressured to give her dinner to the dog. Altogether now; dogs shouldn't have onions!

Lavendersquare · 18/02/2022 23:14

For me it's got to be penis beaker, nothing comes close.

GlumyGloomer · 18/02/2022 23:15

Read both. Stupid autocorrect

jelly79 · 18/02/2022 23:15

One where the OP was saving the opening of the jam for a special occasion.

Hov1 · 18/02/2022 23:19

It’s already been said but t-Rex in asda was/is just madness! Always gives me a good laugh when it reappears though

amiafreakofnature · 18/02/2022 23:23

I'm trying to think of a special occasion that may warrant opening a jar of jam

I immediately thought of the one where a poster innocently sought advice on what backpack to buy for her student son. Another poster was very strongly of the opinion that the OP should be leaving the son to choose his own backpack. The thread got so derailed that at one point two posters were arguing with each other about whether it was normal to discuss one's choice of contraception with one's mother!

Christ I'd forgotten about those.

OP "I've finally got one! Wait for it!"

Posters try to read handwriting

"I think that says bacon"
"no it clearly says gin"

"so this person is shopping for kitchen roll gin/bacon, a bag or haribos and a newspaper"

"clearly and alcoholic who likes to catch up with current affairs whilst eating a gummy bear"

Is it classics and do you know the title? Ta
Appliancedesparation · 18/02/2022 23:32

Tiny dancer's are you on glue wedding decoration thread.
Lube and a fish slice.
Thread about sharks being horrible.

Changeee15467 · 18/02/2022 23:32

Owl noises 😂

LittleEsme · 18/02/2022 23:34

Ah now. Fond memories aside, you lot really must link to these little diamonds. I've been on MN for 15 years but have missed so much - clearly!!

I remember the Wendy thread, also the Mexican holiday home thief, illegal swimming pool usage and something outrageous about a ski
Chalet.

FloodTheBathroom · 18/02/2022 23:34

Brian from Hull and the yoni massage. I was reading it live and it was hilarious.

AFingerofFudge · 18/02/2022 23:35

Does anyone remember the person posting about a couple sitting in their car outside her house for days/weeks ?!

Gardeningcreature · 18/02/2022 23:36

The one where the poster was stuck on the kitchen worktop and had to ring her husband at work to get her down. She had been trying to reach the paracetamol. It was mind boggling.
