Flightradar 24 storm watchers

So we've got Dudley today and tomorrow and Eunice on Friday so thought I'd start a thread. Dudley has barely hit here in Edinburgh and already there's a flight from LHR struggling to land.

Another failed landing for Belfast Southampton. Must be quite terrifying.

I guess GVA-MAN is heading for Luton or Gatwick where Easyjet has more crews for when the plane next departs….I guess the current cabin crew are timing out their hours?

Yes of course. I forgot they don't fly out of Heathrow 🙄.

Nope, LHR isn't an Easyjet base and in any event is very reluctant to take diversions due to lack of capacity...LGW/STN? is more likely but we will see..

I was wondering what the Easyjet plane was doing! A Tui flight has just landed in Birmingham so assumed they'd go there, but I suppose it's not one of their hubs?

I have Flightradar24 but how do you know about difficult landings etc?

I am completely out of date, haven't flown for a while.

And, after watching this lot I don’t think I will be flying again for the foreseeable future!

I’ve been on the Eastern Airways planes quite a few times - like the one trying to land at Southampton. They are tiny - I think that would make the experience even worse

This is better than Line of Duty.

If I was on that Belfast flight I would be crying my eyes out. It looks like such a small plane too. The poor pilot.

Thank you ! Yeah , I suddenly fell in. I should know this as I worked out of LHR and know EasyJet do not fly out of there 🙄

I was wondering if it might try and divert to Bournemouth or Exeter but at this time of year they’re probably closed for the night?

Just imagine, your knackered, can’t wait to get in your own bed. Nearly land a couple of times so you are shitting yourself by this point. Finally land…. But you are 200 miles away from where you expected to be and you’ve to get a coach back for your car. Then you’ve got a 80mile drive back home. The kids are starving, you are down to your last couple of nappies.
