Favourite yummy thing to treat yourself to

Mine are hands down cupcakes, I never really had a sweet tooth upto about a year ago when I started baking rice krispie buns (hence the username) to give out to homeless people. Then I also sampled cupcakes and got hooked, though I generally only treat myself once a fortnight.

What is your favourite thing to treat yourself to?

Profiteroles. Not for sharing either. In fact I'm going to have some right now. Wink

Pretzel sticks the polish ones are my Friday night treat ! I don't really have a sweet tooth but when I do it's a frys cream.

Marks and Spencers Victoria sponge "muffin". It's basically a lovely bit of Victoria sponge - lovely jam inside and a good dollop of butter cream on top. It's only £1 and I can never resist getting one.

The Lindt chocolate eggs are yummy. Can't stand creme eggs as they're too sickly, but the Lindt ones are delicious.

BatOutOfHelsinki · 08/02/2022 17:12

Lamb and spinach balti with mango chutney and aloo naan bread is my favourite treat! Sweet-wise it varies, but would usually pick a savoury option as first choice.

SallyWD · 08/02/2022 17:14

I don't like many sweet foods. My favourite treat is some crackers with a selection of cheeses and chutneys. Also love Bombay mix.

Sainsbury's bakery does a gorgeous lemon and raspberry tart...I'm obsessed with it!

Lindt milk chocolate with Hazelnut
An Asda bakery vanilla crown

Teaforme123 · 08/02/2022 17:18

M&S Yum nuts. They're cross between a yumyum and a donut. A raspberry one if they have them in. I absolutely can't resist them!

Sunsetsupernova · 08/02/2022 17:24

Always something savoury. It used to be the lime and coriander Sensations popadoms but they seem to have lost a lot of flavour recently.
If I’m really treating myself its Findlaters chicken liver pate spread on those little Parmesan and sun dried tomato cracker bites.

This thread is good inspiration. DP is away with work for a lot of the next two weeks so I will be indulging and not cooking a proper dinner every night

Waitrose do a maple and pecan Yum Yum and it is soooo amazing. I haven't had one in a long, long time but this thread reminded me of it and I'm going to go to Waitrose on Friday and get some.

Cheese and branston toastie

Crumpets with butter And peanut butter.

This topic is too broad... I love all food! Doesn't help that I'm mega hungry right now.
When I was younger I used to have a pot noodle in toast with Doritos on toast and tbf I still would. I do like normal, adult, healthy food too though!

ThreeRingCircus · 08/02/2022 17:57

A chip butty. Hot, salty chips on thick white bread with lots of butter. It must be white bread, wholemeal in this instance would be all kinds of wrong.
