Keir Starmer chased by protesters with a noose.

Starmer was bundled into a car after a mob of protesters angry about the Savile case swarmed around him, apparently waving a homemade noose and scuffling with police. No doubt the same knuckle draggers who erected a gallows in parliament square just a week after Sir David Amess' murder.
Johnson really has become a mini me trump and has inadvertently or not enthused violent protesters to attack a prominent politician. Hopefully this will backfire against him...

I've just seen a video of this on twitter. We've had two MPs murdered recently. Near the end of the video I think I saw a Canadian flag, I think they have had protests about the vaccine in Canada this week.

I did hear Starmer had been bundled into a police car for protection after a mob jeered him....didn't know it was a noose. It wasn't reported that it had anything to do with the Savile case (BBC Radio 4 news).

However, this was very different to Trump inciting a mob in USA. Boris didn't incite anyone, wasn't urging anyone to take any action, his comment was during the usual parliamentary slanging match, not an address to the general public or any mob. Don't bloody blame everything on Boris.

Even if you think Boris' comment was ill advised, any mob chasing Starmer is entirely responsible for their own actions, and should be caught and suitably punished/restrained etc. I am fed up with everything being blamed on the government, and the current drive to use any happening as ammunition against them.

truthfullylying · 07/02/2022 19:19

Don't bloody blame everything on Boris Have a Biscuit for being a Johnson sycophant.

Even Tory MPs are blaming Johnson. Johnson is a sht of the highest order and his comments were a disgrace.

The sooner the useless twat resigns the better.

BarrowInFurnessRailwayStation · 07/02/2022 19:20

Johnson's too thick to realise that his careless words might have real world consequences because he's a juvenile scumbag. Trying to score cheap points because he lacks the intellect to form a proper argument.

Clymene · 07/02/2022 19:22

I blame bloody everything on Boris. He's a fucking useless PM, an arrogant lying cowardly arsehole who can't keep his dick in his pants.

And this is entirely his fault.

This, with bells on!
SmallThingsEverywhere · 07/02/2022 19:26

@MeanderingGently He said it as a dog whistle to his Neanderthal base. He knows it’s a lie taken from a Far Right website, but wanted to rile up the mob. As usual the twat doesn’t care who he hurls under the bus, to try and save himself. He most definitely is Britain’s Trump!

NashvilleQueen · 07/02/2022 19:29

To those saying it's not Boris' fault. Reports say there were references to Savile by protesters. Do you think that might be just coincidental?

jimmyreckon · 07/02/2022 19:31

Of course it can be attributed to Boris. He was the one who dragged up the right wing conspiracy theory in parliament even though he knows it is devoid of fact.

He also knew exactly who it would appeal to - I.e. those that support the websites that it originated on and would be fully aware that it wouldn't take much to incite the knuckle draggers into action

@MeanderingGently Biscuit

Hospedia · 07/02/2022 19:51

They were heard ti shout "Jimmy Saville",that he was "protecting paedophiles", and repeatedly asked "why did you let Jimmy Saville off?" - how is that not related to Johnson's remarks last week? Hmm

Johnson's own MPs are coming out in support of Starmer and saying that Johnson's comments are to blame.

Jellykat · 07/02/2022 20:03

MeanderingGently If it was nothing to do with Boris, would you care to explain the paedophile and Saville comments coming from the mob?
Was it just some bizarre coincidence after all these years?? Hmm

Neanderthal. You use the same words than Biden to insult people.

LeQuern · 07/02/2022 20:11

I’ve seen the 2 min video online. It’a shocking, fucking disturbing and made me both angry and upset. Fucking Johnson knew this would happen and he gave - and gives - zero shits. It’s a fucking game to him.

Thank god C4 news led with it and some Tory MP’s are calling for Johnson to retract. They should do the decent thing and submit their lettersAngry

Lolamento · 07/02/2022 20:12

People who need to insult like the lefties here are clearly lacking in intellect.

BigGreen · 07/02/2022 20:13

I felt sick watching that. It looked really frightening.

How can Boris still be in power? How come these wealthy elite constantly fail upwards with zero consequences whatsoever? So fed up of this gravy train of pure privilege.

He really isn't too thick at all, he knows EXACTLY what he's doing on this score.

Tinabn · 07/02/2022 20:16

I’ve sent the video to my Conservative MP.

LeQuern · 07/02/2022 20:22

Absolutely Johnson knew he was sounding the (Big) Dog Whistle. Contemptuous.

Well, that's Johnson told where he stands isn't it.
Cam77 · 07/02/2022 20:32

There’s really no point saying anything about Johnson anymore. We all know what he is. The Tories who stand by him are now equally worthy of contempt, though.

MrsTerryPratchett · 07/02/2022 20:33

Very disturbing video. As an aside, if I ever need help I want that shorter officer in the hi vis on my side. What a bloke.

It's pretty horrifying that these people have moved from the George cross to the maple leaf. Strange times when the Canadian flag is used by right wingers.

And yes, Boris lied to provoke a reaction, the natural hard edge of that reaction is this.

IpanemaPeaHen · 07/02/2022 20:34

Johnson was advised not to go ahead and make the remark, he said it anyway in the HoC. This is completely on him.

SleepyJackson · 07/02/2022 20:39

Hopefully this'll speed up his exit.

SmallThingsEverywhere · 07/02/2022 20:41

@Lolamento Are you one of those Neanderthals? Have I touched a nerve? Lefties? I didn’t realise calling out our deceitful, amoral Prime Minister made me a Leftie? Plenty of people on the Right are disgusted by him.
