I sometimes wonder if I am taking so many that they cancel each other out. I take three for medical reasons and then I also take Vit D, Magnesium, and Curcuma. Thanks.

2 chewy multi-vitamins Grin

There are many medications I wish existed, but unfortunately they do not Sad I really want a pill for patience, and a pill to make me think before I speak. Often before I remember to think, something terrible comes out of my mouth Blush

@NannyR

Go have a chat with your pharmacist if you are concerned - they are the people who know the most about drugs and how they interact.
Excellent advice

HRT, and I'll fight anyone who tries to take it away from me.
A low dose vitamin D tablet in the winter months.
Two 1g creatine tablets because I can't be bothered faffing around with powder.
I'm in my late fifties and have been very lucky with my health so far.

25 a day. All prescribed. I have a lot of autoimmune issues. And then there’s painkillers and vitamins…!

DoTheyKnowItsLemonJuice · 07/02/2022 20:29

Vit D
Vit B (multiple Bs)
Magnesium

I started all these in an effort to find something that would ease my joint pain and particularly leg pain. I do think they help. Often if I’m having a painful day I will belatedly realise that I’ve forgotten to take the vits.

2 paracetamol 4 times (sometimes 5 times) a day. 1 over 50s multi vitamin . 1 levothyroxine. Usually one or two ibuprofen per day. Plus HRT.

For most of my life I enjoyed great health and almost never too any medications- now I’m in constant pain but can’t get any doctor to understand how bad it is.

Sometimes I think I rattle!

aurynne · 07/02/2022 21:05

@Gwenhwyfar

Does anyone take probiotics and which one would you recommend?
I drink Symprove every morning and it's great. Highly recommend.
ABCeasyasdohrayme · 07/02/2022 21:08

8 types of prescribed medication, plus iron and folic acid, then monthly injections too.

I didn't think they did that much until I ran out for a couple of days after a mix up with my prescription, I felt it then that's for sure.

TheChosenTwo · 07/02/2022 21:15

None. I don’t take my health for granted through.
At the height of my back issues a few years ago I was taking 24 tablets (prescribed) a day with a strong morphine patch!

Hayisforhorse · 07/02/2022 21:18

Loads, sadly.

10 different prescribed meds, and a couple of vitamins/supplements. I rattle. As the prescription meds are taken multiple times a day I can easily swallow 40+ tablets a day.

Please be sensitive who you say things like this to, I have friends who often complain about having to take e.g. a painkiller and an antibiotic as a one off, because they're 'worried about the damage it will do to their body'. Makes me feel awful as I don't have a choice, and of course I'm bloody worried about what my excessive numbers of meds might be doing to my body but it's that or disablement.

HerRoyalHappiness · 07/02/2022 21:19

I take...

Aripiprazole × 1
Lansoprazole × 1
Celebrex × 4
Dihidrocodeine × 4
Citalopram × 1
Amytryptiline × 1
Paracetamol × 8
Vitamin D × 1
Vitamin C × 1
Herbal sleep remedy × 1

So 23 tablets a day. I basically rattle as I walk.
