New to HRT patches. Put first one on on saturday....I must have thrashed around in sleep so it wasn't sticking very well. Covered it with surgical tape..today it worked its way down my trouser leg and fell out by my ankle..big clump of tape with patch. ( I was at work!)

Doobydoo · 07/02/2022 19:54

@sueelleker..I am so sorry.

ZZTopGuitarSolo · 07/02/2022 19:55

I am migrating a Wordpress site manually because I can't log into it to migrate it automagically. It's one of those things I do rarely, so each time I have to look up how to do it.

I think I also need to do something with compartments on the external drive I use for Timethingy.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 07/02/2022 20:48

School restarted after winter break. Only 8 weeks now, then DS (and we) will know if he meets all requirements to be admitted to the exam phase of Abitur.

It is still rainy and windy.

Silkierabbit · 07/02/2022 21:04

DD spent Sunday at with her boyfriend and came back and said that they have dinner every day at 6pm and his Mum even does a weekly menu. Then she said I would like to thank you for never imposing this on us, I would have hated it. She added that her boyfriend likes it but she finds him boring and too sensible.

Tonight she told me I need to make sure DH gets a Thai after his piano lesson. So we had a Thai, I had pork massaman curry with sticky rice, was very good but they have put prices up. Also had a proper bath for first time since 2nd cancer operation and was good.

DH had his piano lesson and went to take back a parcel and collect 2 others but forgot his phone so now has gone back again. Two lots of washing done.

MissConductUS · 07/02/2022 21:19

@autienotnaughty, that's a great way of putting it!

Welcome, @Doobydoo, and thanks for sharing your HRT news. Where did you place the patch?

ZZ, I am impressed by your level of techiness. Smile

I have discovered that Sainsburys own brand porridge pots are much nicer than the Quaker ones. I usually buy Sainsburys as they’re cheaper but the Quaker were on offer at the same price so thought I’d try them. Never again - especially the protein version!

(I know buying a big bag of porridge oats is better value but it’s just not as practical for me at the moment) Smile

Silkierabbit · 07/02/2022 21:28

We normally have the Quaker oats in the boxes but I add golden syrup and milk to mine and you mainly taste the golden syrup.

DH should be back shortly from his second trip to do parcels this time with his phone. Silkiecat is not pleased with him.

Silkierabbit · 07/02/2022 21:40

Just checked the forecast for Scottish trip at Feb half term, its rain every single hour apart from a couple where it is sleet. Told DH and he said maybe should go somewhere its not raining instead and go to Scotland when it won't rain. I wish he had told me of the requirement for no rain in February before I booked it. Grin It does have a very nice indoor pool at least and I only booked 2 nights so far.

Doobydoo · 07/02/2022 21:45

Thank you for welcoming meSmileI put it outer right thigh which was silly as I must move a lot at night. Tomoz I will put it near coccyx( tip from friend).

Sunbird24 · 07/02/2022 21:56

@Silkierabbit I had the Quaker golden syrup flavour pot - the texture was not nice and I couldn’t taste the golden syrup Sad

If you go to Scotland when there’s no rain won’t you just get midges instead? Grin

DoctorTwo · 07/02/2022 22:00

Sorry to read about your husband sueelleker, I hope you're ok in the circumstances. Just know we are here.

halfpasteleven · 07/02/2022 22:00

Aldi have lovely porridge oats too..
The organic ones.. very creamy.

Silkierabbit · 07/02/2022 22:06

We make it ourselves Sunbird the porridge with oats and milk and then add a tablespoon of golden syrup - can certainly taste it when we make it. Grin

I think it could be sometime before we visit Scotland again with DH when its sunny. I've been a few times so fine with me.

Silkierabbit · 07/02/2022 22:09

DH is back, he sent back the one parcel and collected 2 more and got me some new toothpaste, brush and nivea. I am very pleased with him but now he is in trouble with Silkiecat.

hamstersarse · 07/02/2022 22:11

I’ve just painted my toe and finger nails and I’m sitting here determined not to move too soon and ruin the hard work

MissConductUS · 07/02/2022 22:56

Welcome, @hamstersarse, and thanks for sharing your news. That is a delicate situation.

Another delurker here.
I did the school uniform ironing today watching a lovely Korean drama on Netflix called Hometown Cha Cha Cha.
Made quorn chilli for tea.
Watched Pottery Throwdown from last night.
Now in bed reading.

MissConductUS · 08/02/2022 00:37

Welcome, @wildthingsinthenight, and thanks for delurking to share your perfectly mundane news. DH made pizza for dinner chez Conduct.

I think we've set a record on this thread for the number of delurkers. Thanks to you all! 😁

Morning all, I've called into work sick (2nd time in 7 years). Got a very cramps, bloated stomach. Had my irena coil removed last week, not sure if it's connected to that.
Anyway, having a cup of tea then will hopefully manage to go back to sleep.
It's still very windy here, wind is howling down the chimney.

Champagneforeveryone · 08/02/2022 08:41

The washing machine did not drain properly and on clearing out the filter I have discovered a good handful of gravel. All appears to be working again for the time being, but we've not actually reached the draining and spinning part of the cycle. I await the results with baited breath.

Also, Robert (the sucker fish) has eventually managed to cover the big stone at the front of the tank with sand. It's been a mammoth effort and has taken him over three months, during which time I've refrained from pushing it all back into a more artful position. We're all very proud of him Smile

Have become friends with elderly couple on the Avenue, they are funny, warm and just lovely … elderly husband helped me when lawnmower blew up, put my hand held cutter together etc… we swap vegetables/ fruit from our gardens ….

Today, the wife came over having found a trinket in the charity shop to show me her prize from fossicking in the shop. Duly admired her find, cup of tea etc….she wanted to show her son, doesn’t have internet and views it with some suspicion ( has an elderly cell phone circa 1998)…. Was utterly dumbfounded when I took photos, got her sons email address via text and sent the pictures …. Such a tiny act and anyone would have thought I’d presented her with the Crown Jewels. Have now appointed myself as her internet secretary and looks like many more treasures will be photographed and sent….

Nice neighbours are worth diamonds…

Nydj · 08/02/2022 08:57

Well done to Robert the sucker fish!

That’s a wonderful way of describing these threads, @autienotnaughty.

Moneypennysfreedomfund · 08/02/2022 09:00

@Champagneforeveryone where did the gravel come from? Robert hasn’t been making a diversion into the washing machine, hence why it’s taken 3 months to move the stone in his tank?

I hope the washing machine is now behaving itself… waiting to see if appliances will behave after a malfunction is always horrible.

DuckPancake · 08/02/2022 12:09

Just finished an incredibly boring meeting at work... 2.5 hours to go until home time.

I've had a chicken salad roll from Gregg's. Was only half filled with chicken for the aesthetic purpose though I believe.
