Embarrassing moment at the beauty therapist. I'm not lone in embarrassing myself am I?!

DH got me a massage voucher for Christmas. Booked it for today after work.

I'm sure it's very very common for people to fall asleep during massages. What I'm not sure is common is people then waking themselves up what their own snoring !!!!

I was snoring so loud I woke myself up!!! I then fell asleep again I just couldn't stay awake.

Tell me I'm not the only one who's embarrassed themselves at a beauty appointment 🤦🏽

Yep. I actually did a Beauty Therapy course years back and the tutor used me as a model to demonstrate on. I fell asleep infant of my whole class and woke myself up with a snort! Now that's embarrassing.

I woke myself up with a little snore during the most blissful massage at Ragdale Hall. I reckon the therapists wear it like a badge of honour... at least that's what I like to tell myself

I’m a therapist. That happens daily. Don’t worry. It’s very very usual. It’s a good sign.

My friend is a beauty therapist she takes it as a compliment if people fall asleep , 😃

I’ve done worse… had a massage, fallen asleep, farted and woke myself up. Very, very awkward for all involved.

I fell asleep having an MRI scan. The repetitive noises I'm blaming it on. I think I was snoring too

Every time I have a facial I wake myself up with a snore so I avoid them

I had an Indian Head Massage on Saturday and repeatedly woke myself by snoring and, I think, dribbling. Hopefully didn't alarm the masseuse too much 😂

I did it during pregnancy yoga when we were doing the lying down bit at the end. I was torn being being so embarrassed and never going back/being desperate to back because I was so relaxed

@User2638483 I did that once too, except the therapist was a man. I think I was trying so hard to be unbothered and chilled I went a stage too far 😳

I once fell asleep in the dentist having root canal treatment.

DH did this in a couples massage. Woke up to the 3 of us laughing at him 😂

Don’t worry, just got to laugh about it!

I lay down too far down the bed, so my face wasn’t aligned with the face hole.

Spent the next 30 minutes trying to kid myself I was relaxed and enjoying myself whilst simultaneously was laser focussed on trying to suck life sustaining air through the small gap between my top lip and the faux leather mattress 😂 I have no idea why I didn’t just move!

Also was paranoid about dribbling through the hole onto the floor, and my mind was racing about how visible my drool pool would be in a candlelit room anyway. I mean wtf.

I'm a beauty therapist and once had a guy in for a facial. He fell asleep pretty much straight away, and then woke up suddenly mid treatment, nearly head butted me as he sat bolt upright shouting ' I'm late for work, I'm late for work!' Poor guy was very apologetic, but I can imagine he was quite stressed out and needed the break. Happens all the time folk falling asleep. I've had snorers, farters, people falling asleep while doing their brows - always taken as a compliment 😂

I did the same, although I was in the middle of a meditation class with about 20 other people.
