I stripped down to my pants for a reflexology massage 🤣 The therapist look horrified and explained it was only my feet she’d be working on. I still chuckle about it now 🤣🤣🤣

DH got me a massage voucher for Christmas. Booked it for today after work.

I'm sure it's very very common for people to fall asleep during massages. What I'm not sure is common is people then waking themselves up what their own snoring !!!!

I was snoring so loud I woke myself up!!! I then fell asleep again I just couldn't stay awake.

Tell me I'm not the only one who's embarrassed themselves at a beauty appointment 🤦🏽

I did exact thing in the centre parcs spa over Christmas.

I fell asleep having a 15 minute shoulder massage in a London train station once. The lady had magic hands!
I have fallen asleep having acupuncture too. Very relaxing.

Not at a beauty appointment but this will make you feel better. A few weeks ago I left for work at 630 as normal with a wraparound skirt on. It was digging into my back so I loosened it slightly. I needed petrol so I stopped at tescos to get some. Instead of paying at pump like normal as a special treat (yes a posh coffee is a special treat at 40) I went in to pay. Got myself a coffee from the machine when I noticed a woman staring at me funny. I looked down and realised my skirt had come off and I was in the petrol station wearing a top and tights. They were cream tights as well. I had no option but to stand in the queue and buy my petrol and coffee. When I got to the car my skirt wasn't there! I thought I was going to have to go back home and was seriously doubting my sanity in whether I'd even put a skirt on that morning. Then I saw a man going into the shop and picking up my skirt. I had to run over to him in my tights and for some reason said 'oh that's my scarf'. Grabbed it off him and drove away. And that is the story of how I am no longer able to get petrol from Tescos in Ayelsbury.

This is exactly what happened to me at a lovely spa hotel over in Gloucestershire. It was a spectacular one, so loud that my waking words where "Ooh heck" :(

I'm a massage therapist and this happens all the time. Someone woke themselves up by farting once and I didn't even even bat an eyelid.

Nothing could be worse than my husband. Who spent most of his life going in for massages naked, until we met and I explained it is 1) not normal and 2) makes him look like an utter creep as he would often book his masseuse to come to the house.

I cringe thinking what those poor masseurs must have thought.

A good friend of mine and myself went for a spa day at st James in Liverpool. We had been drinking all day whilst relaxing in the spa (free prosecco) We had booked a full massage and were taken to a joint room. We said to the lovely young ladies before they started that we were sorry if we fell asleep and snored. they smiled and said they took it as a compliment if we did. I can still remember occasionally waking up to my snoring or friends on the table next to me, or waking because my arm fell off the table as I attempted to roll over. We must have slept for ages, the therapists left the room and left us to it. Eventually coming to wake us up hours later when they had another client booked in. Blissful massage though.

Yes, I fell asleep while I was getting a haircut one time. The beautician was hot too I was very embarrassed.

I've had to stop getting pedicures because it tickles too much when they're scrubbing your feet, and the therapists apparently DON'T think it's normal, they think I'm weird.

You definitely are not alone. I do this all the time even though I tell myself I won't and try to devise strategies not to, like counting things (not sheep). I even do it when getting false eyelashes. So embarrassing.

God yes, I often doze off while having a massage. have also fallen asleep in the relaxation bit at the end of a yoga class, and I’m the middle of root canal treatment. I do love a nap

Not sleeping embarrassment…but anyway…I worked with the loveliest of ladies a few years ago. She’d never had a smear test but knew she should. Talked her round… off she went to the village GP…. Very small practice with one locum dr and one nurse. Dr did the background talk and notes and said ‘if you can just pop behind the curtains and take the necessary off, nurse will be in in a second to take the smear’

She’d never been for one before and didn’t know what to do. Was a bit too embarrassed to ask.

So the nurse had quite a surprise when she pulled the curtains back to find my friend completely stark naked on the trolley.

Even now she says she can’t quite work out what her thought process was as to removing all her clothing!!!!!

Me and a friend went for a Hollywood wax on holiday once. She went first, then the same lady came to do mine. She asked if I wanted my arsehole done too, I said sure - lying there in foetal position holding my arse cheeks apart and she exclaims "you're hairier than your friend, extra $5".
