Roast today or something else? What are you eating?
hiredandsqueak · 23/01/2022 12:27
I've made cottage pie this morning that we will eat later. Tempted to make a crumble as well as have apples that need using up and blackberries in the freezer.
jollygoose · 23/01/2022 12:29
We are having slow cooked beef in Newcastle Brown Ale with roast potatoes and veg, smells nice already.
Vampirethriller · 23/01/2022 12:29
Roast potatoes, chicken breast with parmesan, sprouts and carrots today.
WowIlikereallyhateyou · 23/01/2022 12:31
Roast chicken, pigs in blankets, stuffing, bread sauce, beans, tenderstem and peas.
Washed down with some bucks fizz, yum.
ShadowPuppets · 23/01/2022 12:32
Busy today so lunch is whatever people fancy (I’m having beans on toast) and dinner is a picnic tea: nice crusty bread, a pork pie, salad, hummus, olives, cheese, ham. Feels like it’s been roast and/or casserole every weekend since before Christmas so nice to do something different.
JurgensCakeBabyJesus · 23/01/2022 12:34
Jerk chicken roasted veg and sweet potatoes
UsernameTaken76 · 23/01/2022 12:35
We’re heading out to a really nice pub for a Sunday roast. My friend sent me pics when she went so cannot wait for this
Yankydoodledandy · 23/01/2022 12:36
Always a roast on a Sunday. Have "shuzzed"up the chicken with some lemon and peri peri salt.
Eightiesfan · 23/01/2022 12:40
We alternate. We have a roast one week and a curry the next, even better DS1 who is 18 and loves to cook makes he curry, so all I do is have to make a couple of easy sides.
Reallycantbesarsed · 23/01/2022 12:43
Usually work in a Sunday so am heading out for pub lunch later .
reluctantbrit · 23/01/2022 12:45
Sweet pepper soup or tomato soup with baguette for lunch
Roast leg of pork for dinner, hadn’t had a roast since Christmas.
No pudding as we have an apple cake this afternoon.
TheBermudaTriangle · 23/01/2022 12:45
Yes, roast chicken for us (served with sausagemeat sage and onion stuffing, steamed vegetables (cauliflower, broccoli and carrot), bread sauce, gravy and roast potatoes), with apple pie and custard to follow. Have been looking forward to it all weekend!
Itonlytakesonetree · 23/01/2022 12:46
Didn't have a roast for Christmas as home alone with covid, so not had one since March ish I think! Didn't manage to shop on Friday, so whatever I can cobble together, I know I have celeriac to use up.
Quamora · 23/01/2022 12:46
Roast lamb, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, Yorkshire pudding, carrots, broccoli and cheesy leeks here
mnahmnah · 23/01/2022 12:48

Zazdar · 23/01/2022 12:49
We were going to have roast chicken but my husband wanted hotpot.
BeyondMyWits · 23/01/2022 12:50
Homemade chunky fish fingers, chips and green beans with ketchup.
Was going to be chicken... but defrosted it and it smelled bad 👎
2anddone · 23/01/2022 12:50
Dd has a dance workshop all day today followed by party til 7 so will be kfc on way home. Usually it would be a roast, stew or shepherds pie so I am looking forward to a rare evening off cooking....not had kfc since start of November and far more excited than I should be
Andtheyalllookjustthesame · 23/01/2022 12:51
I'm tempted to do a pudding but no idea what.
ParkheadParadise · 23/01/2022 12:51
We are off to the pub later for dinner with friends.
Looking forward to a large glass of wine to browse the menu with 🍷🍷 and no dishes to do 😉
parrotonmyshoulder · 23/01/2022 12:53
Roast chicken with cauliflower cheese and other veg. DD is making eclairs for pudding. Eating late today - snacks for lunch as all doing our own different things in the day.
Shuffletime · 23/01/2022 12:56
Was hoping to have a roast but I only took the pork joint out of the freezer half an hour ago.
If anyone has any quick defrost tips we'll still have it today! Otherwise midweek roast.
DrRamsesEmerson · 23/01/2022 12:57
Roast lamb with roast potatoes, parsnips and pak choi..
Scbchl · 23/01/2022 12:57
Chicken pesto pasta. Had a roast last week and we never want one two weeks in a row.
Ruibies · 23/01/2022 12:59
Toad in the hole for us today. Lunch is a full English, just lobbed the hash browns in the oven, can't wait!
