I've made cottage pie this morning that we will eat later. Tempted to make a crumble as well as have apples that need using up and blackberries in the freezer.

Moroccan roast chicken here with aubergine hummus that I made on a whim. Also make a chocolate cake, no idea why as we should not be eating it but fancied something sweet.

TimBoothseyes · 23/01/2022 13:56

I've just had a fried egg sandwich. Might have some cheese and crackers later.

LadyIckenham · 23/01/2022 13:58

@campion hopefully so, it has chestnuts in it too, so sounds good on paper.

Rather like the sound of your lunch too! In fact, this is all making me hungry and I've only just eaten. Grin

We’ve just had veggie chilli (onion, celery, red and green peppers and sweet potato) with green salad, nachos, rice, salsa, sour cream and guacamole. Kids had a chocolate sponge pudding but not DH or me!

TowandaForever · 23/01/2022 14:29

@parrotonmyshoulder

Roast chicken with cauliflower cheese and other veg. DD is making eclairs for pudding. Eating late today - snacks for lunch as all doing our own different things in the day.
Sounds great!
Maxifly · 23/01/2022 14:33

Having a Christmas dinner, roast goose, veg, roast potatoes, then tiramisu. This is because a close friend has been poorly over Xmas and new year so decided to invite over for a late festive meal.

Inextremis · 23/01/2022 14:37

Chicken chasseur, mash and peas planned here. Currently debating making something for afters, but no idea what.

purplecorkheart · 23/01/2022 14:41

Roast here today but not really by choice. Neighbour had to go away unexpectedly today and had no room in freezer for joint of beef so he dropped in here.

Nearlyadoctor · 23/01/2022 14:42

Roast pork, roast potatoes, sprouts, cauliflower cheese, carrots and gravy - followed by sticky toffee pudding and vanilla ice cream.

Oblomov22 · 23/01/2022 14:43

4 x Ribeye steaks, new potatoes, cauliflower, broccoli, Savoy cabbage.

WellJuhnelle · 23/01/2022 14:46

Slow roast lamb shoulder here - with sliced potatoes and onions cooked underneath and sides of honey roast parsnips & broccoli cheese.
Homemade chocolate fondants for afters - we are all isolating here after positive tests so made them with the children to try and keep them occupied

LeftieLucy · 23/01/2022 14:48

Irish stew with buttered rolls to dip.

It’s been in the slow cooker all day and smells delicious

Zazdar · 23/01/2022 14:53

Neighbour had to go away unexpectedly today and had no room in freezer for joint of beef so he dropped in here.

Are you sure he didn’t just want you to put it in your freezer until he got back?

Ragwort · 23/01/2022 14:54

Another one having leftover Christmas Turkey and ham pie Grin, just drowned a can of cider and crisps for lunch before having to tackle some boring admin ... does anyone ever clear their (home) desk and have no admin to do? I am on a couple of committees so I know that makes it worse but it just seems never ending.

StCharlotte · 23/01/2022 14:55

DH out all day so I "treated" myself to a tin of macaroni cheese. But it was Tesco's own and it was truly revolting. Even half a ton of Tommy K barely made it edible.

Francescaisstressed · 23/01/2022 14:57

Bbq beef brisket, with home made chunky wedges and some salads/slaw

EllaPaella · 23/01/2022 15:00

Slow cooked pork with garlic, fennel, sage and parsley. We'll have it with parmentier potato's, carrots, broccoli and cauliflower cheese 😋
Got a nice raspberry and passionfruit cheesecake for pud.

CiderWithLizzie · 23/01/2022 15:04

Roast pork for us with garlic and rosemary. We have a roast every Sunday. It will be extra special as DD1 is coming home from uni Grin

itsgettingweird · 23/01/2022 15:09

We are actually having a roast today!

We don't have one every weekend so it's nice when we do! X

ExtremelyDetermined · 23/01/2022 15:16

Pasta with a smoked salmon, cream and dill sauce plus green veg. We only have roasts a couple of times a year plus Christmas.

HalfShrunkMoreToGo · 23/01/2022 15:18

I'm on total meal replacement diet so eating a packet of something mixed with water 😂

DD has an M&S ready meal that's a giant Yorkshire pudding filled with a chicken dinner, so she's chomping at the bit and keeps asking if it's nearly dinner time.

OneOfTheGrundys · 23/01/2022 15:18

Sausage Casserole. Naice sausages from the market. Yum.

Sn0tnose · 23/01/2022 15:19

I’m having roast chicken, bubble and squeak, home made stuffing and a couple of pigs in blankets. DH doesn’t like mash or sprouts (the two main parts of my bubble) so he’s having roast potatoes and Yorkies with his chicken.

iklboo · 23/01/2022 15:21

M&S chicken, leek & bacon pie with triple cooked chips and green veg.

Raspberry roulade for pudding later.

KurtWilde · 23/01/2022 15:21

I'm making a full English breakfast for tea. It's what everyone fancied so that's what's happening!
Bacon
Eggs
Sausages
Black pudding
Hash browns
Mushrooms
Tomatoes
Beans
And a round of toast.
