Gran

Jungle run
The tribe

There was one that involved a horse and a blind girl, and White Horse Hill.

Thoosa · 21/01/2022 15:05

What was the one on BBC I’m which the presenter would drive on in a tiny primary coloured buggy wearing a boiler suit (and hard hat?) and then insert a boxy looking video cartridge thing into a big primary coloured machine with a screen and big push buttons? I can hear the tune in my head , but can’t place the title or the words. The music seems to have a “ch-ch-ch” element to it and I think it was always or sometimes presented by someone called Carol with a shaggy 80s hairdo.

Rosie & Jim

Love love LOVED Rosie & Jim.

Let me come back later and add some more as I'm a bit pre-occupied with bathing DD and prepping dinner (sea bass, baby pots, broccoli and carrots) lol.

I'll be back lol x

Bod was so weird, wasn't it? Sort of like an art experiment.
Loved Willo The Wisp. With hindsight it had great voice performances.
Loved Fingerbobs and the gentle arty-crafty/folk guitary types on it.
Roobarb & Custard was so anarchic and lovely.
Also the Pink Panther. So stylish, and great music and choreography.

Moneypennysfreedomfund · 21/01/2022 15:30

Cockleshell bay
Bagpuss
Willo the wisp
Wind in the willows (Cosgrove hall version)
Grange hill
Trumpton
Morph
Fingerbob
Sooty
The Riddlers…

Quality tv for children

Play away

DrCoconut · 21/01/2022 15:36

@BogRollBOGOF I did a reenactment event at Belton. It was awesome getting to swish round those gardens in a big dress! And I have a fab photo of DS and his friend on the sun (moon) dial dressed as Georgian urchins.

HeatonGrove · 21/01/2022 15:38

Tales from Europe (this dates me!)

There was a terrifying show called the Singing Ringing Tree with a horrible troll living under a bridge.

IntermittentParps · 21/01/2022 15:39

Bagpuss was wonderful. So gentle, and such excellent songs and music.
I sometimes wonder what happened to the musicians who used to play and sing for those shows, and who they all were.

CarrotCakeMuffins · 21/01/2022 15:41

I still have my book copy of 'Break in the sun'. Very sad storyline and I don't remember watching anything else quite like it.
