Have seen on the news this morning that the New York Times has bought Wordle for s seven figure sum. It'll remain free 'initially'.

Don't know when the change will be made but, oh well. It was good while it lasted. No doubt imitations will continue (but it won't be the saaaaaaame!)

And I've got stuck on today's. Walking away from it for a while!

Although it seems crazy to buy it and then make it different. Especially with so many copycat versions.

That really shouldn't have been as difficult it was! I changed tack halfway through to try and reveal more letters. Didn't work!

Made a mistake on my third try annoyingly.

If it stopped being free, I'll move to a different version!

I think it's the sharing aspect and it being the same single word each day that makes this version so enjoyable. And probably why the NYT leapt on it!

Its a great piece of psychology. We are all talking about something without talking about it.

Such a pity the NYT has bought it. Bet it will mean buying a subscription to have access to their online stuff.

I tried a word with more consonants today rather than vowels.

I read about the NYT sale. It will be a shame if it’s no longer free.

I watch the Jimmy Fallon show and SNL on now tv and both those shows have been making loads of references to wordle recently, I've been saying to dh I'm sure someone over there has a vested interest in it, I won't be subscribing to the New York Times!

Just had the wrong first letter with guess 3.
